NJ Get together
Comments
-
I probably have to skip this one - my exchange is the 7th. If I'm feeling up for it, though, I'll try to make it.
-
Right now, I'm counting five for the lunch. Those of you able to come - what do you think? Should we go ahead or reschedule?
-
I vote for a redo in the fall.
traffic mid day is nasty and I guess I am spoiled as I do the beach thing, when traffic is more easy
but will look forward to when we all get together again
-
Ditto that - postpone until after Labor Day. Went down after church today with a friend and traffic was not extremely horrible but it wasn't fun. Traffic on the way back, however, was pretty bad and after Memorial Day will probably be even worse.
-
I have experience with this...I feel if we do not keep the momentum going it will die out. I have seen it happen. Those who can go should go ahead. If we plan a get together every month it will grow and grow. But...I am open to whatever the majority wants. Just my opinion.... :0) Also, for July and August , we should stay away from the shore points.
-
I am still happy to get together with any of you, a group of two or two hundred, any time it fits in my schedule. I agree with Candie...Would love to see this be a monthly thing. Obviously will be harder during the summer and around the holidays, but let's keep it going! (And always feel free to send me a PM if you just want to get together, any time)
-
Ok, I'm in for a small gathering. I count a possible 4-6 for a get together. Do we want to stick to the beach? I'll have to call the restaurant in any event.
-
Candie, you are so right, keep it going. Again, I am sorry I cannot make the 10th, but look forward to another date.
-
Sandy, my vote is for whatever everyone else wants - count me in for whatever, wherever
And still happy to help with coordinating if needed.
-
Hi. Since there seems to be so few of us getting together, I am wondering whether anyone would be interested in a brunch in the Princeton area on June 10 as opposed to the trek to the beach. I will admit to some concern about traffic at the beach on a Sunday, even in June. I just read some rave reviews of KC Prime's Sunday brunch buffet at $19 a person - or I'd be open for other suggestions.
-
Sounds good to me Sandy - a little closer to me too
-
Wow, so close to me! Sounds wonderful, Sandy. Count me in and thank you!
-
I like the idea of a nonbeach get together also, traffic better lots
-
It's about an hour and a half away for me. So we have to stay a LONG time to make it worth my while for the drive.
Looking forward to it.
-
It is about 90 minutes for me also but I will try and make this one

Put me down as a tentative as the 10th may now be a conflict for me. The brunch is 10am-2pm but the regular menu looks yummy.
-
Oh, no...I was thinking the 10th was Sunday for some reason. I may have a conflict too. Will let you know.
-
Blue, the 10th is a Sunday. I may have a conflict but also would come after church so would probably have to choose from the regular menu.
-
Ok...No conflict for me. Just chemobrain and calendar confusion. I have no conflict on Sunday the 10th...Thanks Patoo and hope you can make it!
-
Did we decide on a time? The only thing on my calendar for that day is a 12-mile run, so I just need to plan my morning accordingly.
-
The brunch runs from 10 to 2 - and we don't need to eat for the entire time. I would suggest 11:30 or 12 so that we can gab and eat for a while, but is' not sooo early that those of coming long distances will have to get p at the break of day.
-
If I'm up and about after my exchange, I'll try to make it. I'm not sure how long my Mom is staying around, but I'd like to bring her along as well. Unfortunately I won't be able to commit until the day before, probably.
-
Rachel, best wishes for your exchange! If you need any help (including ride to event if you're up to it) please let me know.

I'll tell KC Prime between 6 and 10 so that we have enough room just in case. Will try for 11 to 11:30. This will be fun.
-
Ok. Scheduled for 11:30 for 10 - given that some people are possibles. If you know you can't make it.please try to let me know if you can a day before. KC Prime is on Quakerbridge Rd., in Lawrenceville. See you there.
-
have a great time everyone.....
-
Well, my one free weekend in June and I might end up having a conflict after all... I might be seeing a running friend who's coming in from Colorado (just learned this), so my plans are now up in the air. Plus I have that 12 miles I'm supposed to run that day, so I'm not sure of all the timing yet... will keep you all posted...
-
Rachel, best wishes on your Exchange!!
-
Ugh, I'm not going to make it after all. Hope I can next time.
