Ok, so this started the other day, I am a long time sewer and started by making doll clothes and ended up at FIT grad in NYC.

Also have mild lymphodemia in my left boobie and likely in my trunk

folks have commented often about things they wish they could find....

hey, looking for a business to do in my soon retirement so how about giving me a wish list?

someone also suggested starting a thread to get ideas so...

Hey! I took pattern making classes at Parson's back in the day, and I was at Paron's in the garment district just last week (otherwise live in Athens these days).

My plan is to try to make some summer dresses for myself that will be comfortable and handsome and have pockets for foobs built in. It gets up to 95-100 degrees here on a very regular basis all through the summer, and even when you have boobs wearing a bra is not fun in that kind of weather. With lymphedema it is even less appealing.

I see a lot of dresses in the stores with elastic smocking in the bodices. it seems to me that this would work well, especially since it could be made to accommodate both foobs and going flat in the same dress. I would add some sort of rouching/collar/cap sleeves just because I am old and not really fit to go very, very bare. Some more filled out top would also help cover scars and other such.

Secondly I was thinking gathered skirt, both for comfort and to make the sizing more flexible. I am also thinking to have the waist slightly high, for the same reasons.

If I come up with something, I will let you know how it worked out.

Proud, If you have breast and truck LE then you would want what I want, a mans style Underarmour tee shirt with a small v neck and pockets on the outside to slip in a light foamy prosthesis at breast area. (pockets would need to be velcroed or something else to keep the foamy from falling out.)

The reason I would want pockets on the outside is because I want the Underarmour type tee to hug my truncal and breast area to keep the fluid out. When I wear my foamy inside my Underarmour a bigger space gap is created allowing for LE fluid to build up. Frown   (I only have Truncal and want to keep it that way! )If I don't wear the foamy's then I get better coverage for compression. Also the foamy's want to ride up and out when I put them under my underamour.  Don't know if I explained this clear enough?

I have implants but need the foams to cover my bad reconstruction job.

Oh, my MLD girl said someone did sew their prosthesis pockets on the outside of their shaper and they wear it this way.

Of course. this is worn as a undergarment with a pretty shirt over.

Just found this site on special cloths for us folks. Check out castclothingco.com for ideas. Clothing that will fit leg or arm lymphedema. Not much choice but a few nice things. I still want my UA tee that is for us LE girls.

Hugz, that's a very nice idea for when we're wrapped.Smile The jacket could be especially useful.

Proudtospin and Momine, we have need of nightwear that's somehow beautiful and comfortable -- or even (could it be possible?!!Surprised) alluring -- when we have to wear these industrial-style night garmentsTongue out. Like so:
