Wednesday Weigh In

Down 1.2 lbs this week for a total of 1.8. Only 41 to go...hehe..
Yay Nats Fan! Awesome! I have my MO appointment tomorrow too.
Half a pound is good Ruth if you've been hitting parties. I'll be happy to lose 1/2 a pound a week for the next month...I have lots of parties to go to also. I'm telling myself that if I can lose only 1/2 a pound a week that in a year's time that is 26 pounds which would be wonderful! That would be my lowest weight in 15 years...
-
ugh - up 2.5 lbs - I agree with Ruth, too many parties and not enough willpower!

Down 0.4 to (173.2). TOM showed up today, so I'll take ANY loss. I never know when it's going to show up anymore. I think the last time was in February.
-
The student council had their annual 'Teacher Appreciation Lunch' today.....so I bet if I weighed right now I'd be up that half plus.........at least we are aware and not just going up, up, up!
-
Still in my same weight range. Today was 162.5. I'm trying hard. Honest!
-
Stayed even. Really worried it would be up. Haven't been exercising.
-
Last week was awesome - went to the gym, rode my bike, felt like Wonder Woman!!!
But on Friday, I slammed the car door on my thumb, and in my shock, yanked it out without opening the door. Managed to smash the bone, and now I'm in a splint and on a whole lotta Vicodin.
So rather than work out, I napped!!!
But tonight was Optifast weigh-in night, and I still managed to lose 3.6 pounds!That's a total of 20.6 pounds in eight weeks on the program. Only 35 to go!!!
I told them my splint weighed another three pounds but they didn't believe me.
-
Down 1/2 a pound..... will definitely take that, since I have not been able to keep up with my excercise! BUT am going to head out now and try to get in my 5 km walk.
-
I had so much chocolate for Mother's Day, I'll have to starve myself from now til Wednesday. Or double up on the exercise.
-
You gals rock !! Everyone of you!!
I am in and out of this forum--kinda like my weight loss... in and out. No but really, I put on some weight from the chemo-- not sure exactly but maybe through the whole process of a bmx and chemo a total of 18-20#... kinda hard to tell when you lose your breasts as well...how much do they weigh??. I was pretty thin when I began and dont really want to get back to that exactly. At any rate, my goal weight is 123 for whatever that is worth. I got myself to down to about 132 while on chemo and now am on herceptin. Easter, my birthday mothers day whatever the excuse-- I stopped paying attention and am not eating as well as I want (regardless of the weight issue) in order to feel good. Now feel a bit depressed-- i think nutrition has a lot to do with that for me-- I am getting nervous it will be harder to lose the final 8-10# once I get on Tamoxifen so I am motivating myself to get this going again. I am not sure what I will be able to do but Tamoxifen begins in mid-June so whatever I lose will be good.
My plan is the same-- what feels healthy to me-- no white, low carb, careful with fats, fresh, vege based, little eating out... except for this morning-- I am meeting one of our BCS sisters for the first time (Omaz) in about 2 hours for breakfast. After that.... LOL
As for posting weight loss-- i think that is a nice motivator but as Blessings says it is more about how you feel that keeps me going.
my best to you all, Q

I must have gained weight from Zumba last night: up 600 grams.
-
You know, I have heard that you can gain weight from zumba
- JK!
Since I didn't do any zumba, what's my excuse? Actually, didn't gain or lose, exactly the same, 165.5.
Since injuring my knees doing couch to 5k last Monday, I have done very little exercise - really beginning to feel it. I am a big walker, and haven't tried walking since last Friday (which left me limping). We do have a gym membership which I seldom use, going to try either the elliptical or bike to see if that is easier on the knees.
-
OK, I am up 2 lbs! Must get back on track!! When I weighed in this morning (always on my Wii fit board!), I decided to set another goal up. Am going to try to lose 10 pounds by my birthday. This should give me almost 2 months to do - it IS definitely doable, I just need to get back into daily posting my intake (Cause THAT is the PROBLEM!!)
Should be running in my pool by the week end - I find that my knees get sooooo sore if I try to run regularly, but have no problem in the pool. I can get my heart rate up but don't have to deal with being hot and sweaty!!
-
same...although I did bounce up over Mother's Day & now back to where I was before the weekend.....my dad's big birthday party 92 is this weekend, so have company coming in.....you all know what that means .....
-
Same here as well. I ate pretty junkily (hey, I just made up a word) this weekend, but ramped up the exercise so at least I broke even.
-
What the heck? I'm up 4 lbs? Did my Jillian Michaels Shred this morning and am pounding water.
-
Up at least .5 to 137. I need to post the actual number, because I don't seem to be able to remember from week to week what I weigh. My goal is 130. I did up my walking a little this week.
-
Quaatsi - I was sure my pre-BMX boobs weighed about 20 pounds, but the final path report said 5 pounds total.
And they were BIG!
~~~~~~~~~~
Didn't do chemo, but will start Arimidex in the fall. Saw my MO yesterday, and she said to keep up the good work on Optifast, because we know that the AIs tend to put the weight back on you.
Gee, thanks for the incentive!!!!!!
DH and I were going to go for a bike ride last night after dinner, but I was so tired I said I'd go lie down for a few minutes. I slept for 3 hours!!!! Not only did we not go for a bike ride, I have done NO exercise since last Wednesday.
Wonder what that will mean at weigh-in tonight?
-
I'm only down 0.4 lbs but I guess it's better than nothing! I can notice a difference though in how my pants are fitting so maybe I'm toning up and building muscle. I can hope!
-
Joining most of you - up 2 lbs. from last week. Getting better at exercising but eating still not controlled. Must try harder.
-
Well, I learned my lesson. After several weeks of exercising, two weeks on the couch or in bed definitely slowed my weight loss down.
I gained .2 of a pound tonight, but SO WHAT - my liver enzymes returned to normal!!! WooHOO!!!!
We can't live and die by the numbers. Our bodies are not machines, and every day, normal hormones and a gazillion other factors affect our weight.
So it's better to keep plugging away, keep moving, and remember that even if it doesn't show up on the scale, exercising is making us healthier every time we move!!!
(My MO told me yesterday that there was a study showing that breast cancer survivors reduced their risk of recurrence by 23% just by diet and exercise. Sounds good to me!)
-
164 - down 1.5 pounds from last week. This weekend will be challenging - bridal shower, memorial day parties, and company - as long as I don't pig out, I think I will be OK, but we will have to wait til next wednesday to see!
I must have lost weight from Zumba last night: down 600 grams.
-
Up .9 pounds. (Yes, that's a decimal point or else it would have been a record breaking gain!) I'm exercising but not being as good with eating. Oh well, on to next week!
-
I had a good week and lost 2 pounds. This weekend will be a challenge for sure!
-
Well, that's better....fairly quickly took off last weeks gain. Down 4.4 lbs to 172.8
-
That's wonderful zogo!
-
Went to a retirement party last night and a potluck tonight. Did NOT weigh....too scared!
-
Down 1.4 lbs this week. 23 so far!!!
-
ihopeg, 23 lbs? That's fantastic! What's your secret?
