Thank you for having this site but I would encourage "you" to reword the information in your "about us" section. Breast cancer does not just affect women, yes I understand that women are the largest group affected but so many men are also. There are many men walking around out there in the world that would not even think twice that they could ever get breast cancer but they do! The main purpose I believe that your site exists is to help guide women and men through their journeys through breast cancer. Once everyone changes there mindsets and recognize it is not just women then so many men won't perish to this disease that can be very treatable if caught early! Thank you!

If you look at "all topics" you can see there is an existing section for men who have breast cancer or male breast issues. It is near the bottom.

This site does have a great male breast cancer area, but I think the point is that more awareness is necessary that men get it too (generally speaking).  I was unaware until I was diagnosed 2 years ago.

    Hi wifeofbill...

I wholeheartedly agree. My Dad died of the disease and I have a real investment in getting word out to the guys too. It's not just a woman's disease and certainly nothing to be shy about. Awareness, awareness, awareness!!!

Wishing you and your husband all the best...

    Rose.

    Hi All -

Bill is now stage 4 and having an extremely rough battle. Are there any other caregivers out there of men with breast cancer? If so, I'd love to chat. Im finding everything to be very overwhelming. Wondering if anyone else is feeling the same?

    Thanks"

    WifeofBill,

I'm so very sorry that your husband has progressed. There is a forum on this site for family and caregivers of Stage IV patients. There may be people there caring for men with bc too. My heart goes out to you, as you face these difficult circumstances.

Wishing you and Bill the best...

    Rose.

Wifeofbill, I just saw your post now. A few days ago someone posted in the stage four forum (maybe it was English Major?) that she had contact info for a couple of stage four men who were looking to be in touch with others. Maybe this is a way for you to find the caregiver support you are looking for. I will try to find the link and send it to you.

WifeOfBill... you must feel [both of you] quite isolated in this world of pink. I do hope that you will contact EnglishMajor. Creating your own subset of support could be most useful. As someone who has also progressed, please let Bill know that we are sending him our best thoughts. This is a darn sneaky disease. *susan*

there is a good reason for posting in the womens section, you ladies know how to check your selvs, check your guy, you might just save his life. going by the numbers, ther are 35 guys here at work with breast cancer, and I am the only one that knows it. how many guys are being killed by something they don't even know exists?

Cliff, you say that "there are 35 guys here at work with breast cancer". Do you mean statistically or in fact?
