Are you all familiar with the urban dictionary? DD and I submitted a new word the other day - tumblebunny. She looked under her bed and there were some very large dust bunnies that resembled tumbleweeds! There are some very funny words on the urban dictionary - if you need a laugh it is a fun place to go. During chemo I also spent some time looking at www.damnyouautocorrect.com - always made me laugh! It is totally inappropriate, and sometimes downright disgusting, but always funny. If you are sensitive - don't look at it!
-
Thanks Gail, Veggy, and oh geez. I forgot, but anyway your information is very helpful!
-
Special K checked it out --yes , it's not for the sensitive, but LMAO. Another fun site is the "Darwin awards" this is a site for people that have done something so STUPID it cost them their life. That may sound cruel, But here's an example. Someone who was given the assignment to clean out a Gasoline tanker, who uses a cigarette litter to see if it's empty. Well, blew up him and the tanker. The Slush Pile on this site is for those stories where "someone" did something so STUPID, but they survived. The Darwin Award is for the person that removed themselves from the gene pool by their stupidity.
-
DUNE, I sent you a PM private message.
CINDY NOW, Where are you??? I want to hear from our girl ASAP. I miss seeing your little kitty avatar. And you are the originator of the "Fuzzinator," and Fuzzy needs a name for her new bike. I just find you so approachable and pleasant, please come home, dear one. GG
-
Nancynow, work most certainly can sour my mood. Ugh! Here's to a better week ahead.
-
NANCY NOW, I swear, I know your name, and I even made a point of saying to myself, I says, "Self, it's Nancy, now, not Cindy. This has happened before. Now, remember, it's Cindy." Hahahaha. Oh, dah'lin that was some funny story about when you get home all tore up from the trip, and anyone in your way becomes an instant grease spot! Ha! Best of all, tho, is your comment, "woke up a candidate for sainthood," how come you is so creative?! Thanks for checking in, I figured I must have missed some previous post letting us know about your trip. GG
-
Where is VEGGY??????????????????????
-
I don't know. I have been looking for her.
-
veggy - ha-ha!
Nancy - the urban dictionary is fine, it is the damnyouautocorrect site that comes with the heads up warning!
-
This thread has been one of the funniest, heart warming, beautiful threads, I have ever read, and not just here.
Hats off to you ladies, I have been wetting myself reading this...
-
Sommer ... WELCOME!!! It's such a special place and your post was so sweet. I needed a little sweet today!!!
Oh boy....I gots me a little tiny tan going on!!! WHOOHOOOO!!! I was Chemo Crisco White ALL LAST YEAR!! Me and the Fuzzinator...Trikinator....Fuzz Mobile...Captain Freedom.....Drive It Up Their As.....no, not that one....hee hee - have put on almost 400 miles!!! Oh yeah. My DH is a little PO'd - I will qoute, "I spent all last year worried for your life and then you drive this to Madison?" To which I replied, "Fate does not temp me any more....and I bought a helmet sweetie!!" HAHAHAAAA Didn't help him at all but I giggled like a little girl! And I haven't put that helmet on yet - kinda screws up the freedom thing ya know?
So...I need to take my girls (my angel faces - my darling little babies - the most amazing people ever) on a special vacation this year. My baby graduated high school and got into a great college and my older baby worked her butt off to get into a private college and completed her sophmore year on the Dean's List...and got a SUPER COOL internship...something about creating standard operating procedures for building DNA or some awesome thing I know nothing about! Sorry...I rambled a little...
So, I would like to take the girls to Virginia Beach for a week. Any suggestions? Hotel? Sights to see? Good deals? Best food? I have never stayed in the area and we plan on just hanging out at the beach and relaxing...we haven't been on a vacation together in years and last year was a definitive year to say the least! So, if anyone can give me any info to make this as special as it can be ... I will love you forever! Ok, I will love everyone of you forever anyway and you already know that!!
I have made it through day one....wasn't too bad in the shitstorm...I think the winds have changed...updates soon
My baby puppy missed me so bad! Oh...can I take him on vacation too? Maybe not...he'll be so upset.
Nancy - Pick you up around beer thirty tomorrow!! vroooom vrooom HAHAHAHAHAAA
-
FUZZY, you is so cool, riding that FuzzMobile and being commentated on by your hubby. Funny girl. Takes me a whole year to put 400 miles on our CAR. Hahahaha. SOMMER, glad you like the weather here, there's some mighty sweet ladies talking with us. Love to my sisters always, GG
-
Hi all. Nothing special going on but wanted to shout out a hi to everyone. Rainy here today. Good day to relax and read, oh and exercise!!!! Most of you know that the last year has not been an easy one for me. I am just getting back to moving around at a better pace. Well I was able to wash some windows this weekend and boy I found some muscles that I have not used for a long time!!! It is all good though... Sore muscles means I am still alive!!!!!
Ok here is to a good day for everyone.....
Cindy -
Hi everyone! I took me a few minutes to catch up on all the posts since I was on last week... Things at work have been crazy so I've had no time to check in. Im counting the days till my exchange (2 weeks from tomorrow) because I'm still in awful pain. My back is killing me at all times and my boobs literally feel like they are going to bust open.
SAS - I just read your post about the Darwin Awards, and had to laugh. Even though someone died from their stupidity. It was a guilty laugh.
So is anyone planning another NY get together? Maybe when the weather gets nicer? its been so crappy here during the week that I just want to crawl in bed and play Words with Friends all day. I'm addicted to my iPad games. Words, Draw Something, Scramble with Friends. Awful...
-
Lauren. I am addicted to my IPad games too. Words with friends and scramble with friends. Good way to pass a rainy day though. Well that and reading....
Hope the next 2 weeks go quickly for you. It is no fun to be in pain......
Cindy -
Hello been gone a few days--computer virus, if it really gets bad and no computer I will let Nancy or Fuzzy know.
Fuzzy congrats on the great kids-----a true accomplishment. Kudos. Vacation could always be Florida--Hint, Hint. Go to orlando (or here). Orlando's more exciting though. Special K and I could come and we could go see Harry Potter.
Welome sommer.
Nancy glad you divested yourself of all that negative energy--whew.
Crog weird to do normal things again ?
gail, and veggy, Granny, lauren, SK Hello and hugs
Several days without noise, no changing almost hourly. Would love so nice music !
-
SAS. It feels good to do some normal things... Now if my foot would feel normal (probably never will) that would be even better..... But seeings how a year ago the surgeon couldn't say for certain if I would even walk again I guess I shouldn't complain to much!!!!
Cindy -
Tomorrow I am meeting my new team (surgeon and plastic surgeon). I am so excited and scared at the same time. MY stress level isn't too bad. I am hoping they scheduled me really soon for the operation. Who is all in my pockets?
-
I am in your pocket tomorrow Veggy.....
-
Me 2 veggy.....♥

Veggy, Wouldn't miss the pocket party for anything. Hope you like your new team.
-
Good luck veggy, from over the pond. While you lot are up having a party without me, I am asleep.
