Easy feedback: who wants the old forum back?

I'm a NO. I like the new format.

YES!

YES!!!!
I utilzed these boards over the past two years and appreciate all that they offered. I just do not find myself enjoying this new format and as a result, am neither posting nor reading as much. Best of luck to everyone!

Old format please or something like it.
The new format is both clunky and Non-user friendly. I have barely been on the site--either to post or to read-- since the change over because I can't find anything.
What concerns me more is that I do not think it is friendly to new users. This board was a lifeline for me at the time of my diagnosis. Had it been this difficult to use, I would not have spent much time here at all.
1. Too much empty space.
2. Too difficult to find topics.
3. Why am I supposed to care who wrote the last post? If I am a newbie what I care about is info not names of posters.
4. Too few posts visible when I go to topic. I understand changes were made to benefit those reading the site on their touch or whathave you. Well what about the rest of us who don't use such a machine? Frankly I find it puzzling and not terribly convincing that you can't have one format for hand held devices and another for those using a freestanding computer.

No. I like the changes (for the most part).
-
I deal with the newbies. I dont think they find it difficult at all since they have nothing to compare it to. It's pretty straight forward esp with the drop down function...
I think it takes more getting used to if one has been around here for some time.
And I checked up on one of our more senior ladies here that I know of. She seems to be fine too with the new boards...(she is in her 70's). Perhaps she is more of the exception than the rule.

If they contracted a new web design - they throw their money away! I'm on sites all the time and this one is just plain AWFUL! I can (do) adjust to changes on other sites every day - this was not a step forward but a leap backwards..... IMO

Yes!

YESSSSSS! I hate this new look.
-
I am neither fussed or bothered with either, fact for me is that the board exists at all.
Gotten used to it now.

No - I like the new format

Yes, please.

Im not sure how many people in this thread have been made aware, but we have already been told the old boards are not coming back.
What we need to do is give the moderators feedback on glitches and such and ideas for the new boards
-
YES.

I know the old format won't be back, but I still vote YES!

YES! this new one is like living in a fishbowl and somehow alienates rather than unites. and is cold & sterile.
-
A thousand times YES...even though it means nothing.
-
Well, I'm full of it. :-) I said yes, then no, and now I want to go back on the no. But I will just say this: activity on BCO has died down if you look at Active Topics and see how often new posts appear. As I just said elsewhere, at "peak" times, there would be several posts that who show up as having appeared "a few seconds ago." Not lately.
It looks barren. It is like walking into a room with lots of empty chairs and a sign saying "you may only sit in the corner sofa."

Could it possibly be because folks are busier during the summer months? I post on several boards that seem to always have a summer slump while folks are outside or on vacation and not online as much.
-
yes!
-
I think we can all agree by now that the new format is basically the same as the old format. I have grown very used to it! Change is soo hard!!! But I think we are all doing fine with the new format.
-
Truthfully? I don't even remember what the old format looked like.....
-
Yes. But this will fall on deaf ears.
