Still in shock...
I just want to use this as a release from what has been the worst week of my life. As if having stage IV breast cancer isn't enough, my dear sweet mother passed away on May 8th. She was only 68 and it was very unexpected. My mom worked for me for the last 8 years so we spent nearly every weekday together. We were extremely close and I am devastated. I am trying to hold it all together because I have to make sure my dad is taken care of. He is in relatively good health but has never paid a bill or dealt with paperwork in the last 50 years that they were married. My only sibling lives 900 miles away so I will have to take over, which I will gladly do for him.
Mothers Day sucked this year as we had her funeral on Saturday. My first wedding anniversary was also this past Monday and we didn't feel like celebrating that either. I don't think I can take much more at this point without reaching the proverbial breaking point.
Thanks for listening...I really needed to say this.

Kelly,
My heart aches for you. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this extremely challenging time. I can not even imagine having your strength. With the passing of my dad, I hold onto the way he made me laugh and smile. Please hold onto those precious memories of your mother and Happy Anniversary to you and your husband. May you grow even closer as you endure these heartaches.

Kelly,
I am so sorry for your loss. I can tell your mom was a good woman, by how close you are and how you want to care for your dad. I'm glad you have your dad, brother, and spouse to hold close at this time and going forward. So sorry.
Take care,
--hattie
