    Hi everyone,

I just had Trtm 3 of 4 of T/C on Monday.  Seems like I am more tired with each one.  I have the last one on June 4.  Then after that there is 6 weeks of radiation once a day, 5 days/week.

I am just wondering how long it takes to have the fatigue from chemo to fade.  I have heard some people say that there is fatigue after a couple of weeks with radiation.  I have not been able to work much during chemo, so am just wondering what to expect?

    Thanks.

Yup...sounds about right.  I can't remember exactly how long it took for the fatigue from chemo to fade completely... maybe a week or so and it should be out of your body.  But remember, the chemo affects all your organs, and I had brain fog for weeks afterwards. Its almost been a year out of chemo for me, and I still don't feel back to normal.  Takes time.

Radiation was okay for about the first 4 weeks...then I developed a nasty, nasty case of shingles on the radiation burn. HORROR. That is NOT typical.  But as for fatigue w/ radiation, it wasn't really too bad...but I treated myself to bed rest whenever I needed it.

I just put one foot in front of the other.  Didn't look too far ahead...knew each day down was one day closer to being done.

    love,

    michele
