having surgery tomorrow
I did go and see the other therapist and she agreed my current LE therapist is doing everything she should be. She was great, super sweet and we did some different measuring but all in all, no need to drive 40minutes oneway to see her. I did have her feel a lump I found on the outskirts of the axilla area. She said call your onc to be safe. So that started a roller coaster of events. i found another lump, saw onc, he wants them removed. And yes they are on my LE side. Saw the surgeon last Tuesday and he agreed, need to remove them. We actually found another noduel so total of 3. He said he isnt worried to much about the one on the outside of the axilla but the 2 in the axilla area are worrisome but he did say they are a little hard to be lymph nodes. He is a very skilled surgeon and aware of LE and I have all my tools to try and keep things under control.
Just need some prayers that this is just scare tissue from my radiation. I am still awake at 1230am and my alarm is going off at 445. I have cleaned, organized, paid bills and did my nails.

Hugs to you...

Thinking of you Allison and hope all goes well with your surgery.
-
Allison, thinking of you, and please let us know how you're doing. Hope this stuff is just scar tissue.

Allison...hope they are harmless...perhaps seromas? I had one drained and the surgeon had no clue what it was. He was going to biopsy it but decided to drain it first...was just fluid. Hope the same for you!
-
Very best wishes and prayers today for gentle hands, smooth sailing, and a quick recovery -- and of course an end to this scare.

May you be protected during this

Surgery was not to bad. My arm is so super swollen. They said I shouldnt wear my sleeve since I have 3 large incisions in the axilla area. I am surprised how long they are about 1 1/2 inches each.
Should know the path report by Friday. Iam going to my LE therapist tomorrow morning for a good MLD session. I wear my night garment for about 5 hours once I got home from the hospital...they said that is better than the sleeve. I only have class II sleeves so maybe a class I would be something I should pickup at my appt tomorrow.
I forget how much that hurts under your arm.
Thanks for the well wishes gals, appreciate it. My 2 1/2 year old kissed my arm for mommies ouchy
-
Allison, hoping for a rapid recovery, nothing to be concerned about in the pathology, and that your ouchy goes away quickly.
Pain is bad for LE, so don't stint on the pain meds.

Allison, there are no words!
Not the news any of us wanted for you. You must be so stunned.
But I can tell you, for sure, we're here with you. Prayers for you, for peace in the midst of this terrible swirl. So glad your onc will see you so quickly -- always easier to focus when there's a plan in place.
Hugs, peace,
Binney -
Allison, we are here with you.
From my days in the rad onc office, I've seen local recurrence like this, and it has responded to treatment. Thank goodness you showed it to the LE therapist.
Long, deep hugs to you and your daughter and all your loved ones, and we're here, and hoping that the plan is swift and effective.
I'm so glad you're seeing your onc tomorrow.

Brain MRI was CLEAR!!!!!!!!! Oh my I was so excited. I will know the rest tomorrow and also if I need more surgery in the axilla area to get clear margins.

Allison, I only saw this now, but I am so sorry to hear that you have to deal with more stupid cancer. Great that the brain MRI was clear though.
