Hi everyone! I was about to ask about possible dates for June. First week/weekend as well as last is out for me, so it seems like I may have jumped the gun a bit re: organizing something for June, unless folks are interested in something mid-month. I just had such a good time meeting all of you that I didn't want to wait to do it again until July
So...any interest in a June meetup any time between the 8th and the 25th?
As much as I would like to attend a July event, I will likely be unavailable for most of the month - hope though that when a date is decided, it will work for me. -
I can make Sunday June 24 (so far).
-
June's a tough month for me, what with my daughter's graduation from HS and other various obligations. Looks like the only free weekend I have is June 9-10. Of course I'm free during the week....
-
Oh yeah, Sat. not good shore day. Isn't the 24th a Sunday. Should be okay then. Put me down, please as tentative.
Just got my shirt, love it.
I posted it on FB, don't know how to get it on thread.
Can anyone help
Hugs,
-
Ronna, I think the 24th date is not for the shore. The shore was going to be in July.
-
Patoo, Sandy mentioned June 24 as a potential shore date on page 9 of this thread.
Wanted to add, that works for me...And if that is the date chosen, maybe doing another get-together in June is unrealistic? And also, I will be sorry not to see Orangemat if that is the date selected...Coordinating this many people is hard, eh? Kudos to all involved in organizing the first one! -
It is hard. June 24th, a Sunday, not certain about the shore - depends on what time since I'm in church until about 12:30. I guess I can drive down afterwards and just meet up to feed my face. Whatever works for the majority.
-
June is hard for me but I hope to be able to attend to whatever is decided on. Looking forward to whatever it its.
hugs

Ladies, the 24 of June will definitely be out. I knew the date sounded familiar, my husband has two business events which I must attend with him, the 25 and 28th. I have to prepare, etc. I will take a rain check. So sorry.
-
Hi everyone, Sorry - off line for a while.
Last potential date - June 10? I may be having a problem with June 25 right now - something's come up with family.
It looks like more people can come on weekends than during the week. So this way, we combine an earlier get-together with the shore.
-
June 10 is good for me. Fingers crossed for everyone else!
-
June 10 should be good for me. I just started Dragon Boating and don't have that schedule yet but I think most of that is on Saturdays (also, been having some back problems so have to deal with that too)
-
10th works for me
-
June 10 works for me too. Anything I can do to help plan?
-
just had a meet with an old pal who is now the NEW Executive Director of Gildas Club on Northern NJ
they are having an event this weekend to raise money (not sure if BC will let me post this but will see....) at the Bergen Performing Arts center.
LOL a group of woman commedians so I think it will be a hoot and a half!
course she also offered her office for any of our get togethers in case we get too big for a restaurant!
-
Oh yes, my husband mentioned that event to me, but we never ended up getting tickets. If there's interest from all of you down south of me, I'd be game.
-
Ok everyone, we have a reservation for Sunday June 10 at 12:30 at Farrell's. http://www.farrellsstoutandsteak.com/menu.asp I was going to try to see if we can get a group rate for beach passes for later in the afternoon - I told farrell's between 20 and 25 attendees - and they'll do one long table. So let me know if you're coming.
So far I have the following:
Reesie
Iris (proudtospin)
Vanessa (bluecowgirl)
Esther (orangemat)

Hi all! I am helping Alexandria58 (Sandy) plan the June 10 get together, and we would like to collect a contact list of phone numbers in case we have to cancel due to weather. Please do not post your number on this thread - pm it to either me or Sandy so we can get in touch with you if we need to reschedule.
Also, Sandy is going to post a new topic about the June 10 get-together to avoid any confusion between this event and the previous one. We'll post a link to the new topic here as soon as it's up and running.
Can't wait to see you all again, and looking forward to meeting new people too! -
Hi my friends: June 10 is my wedding anniversary. So I have to say no. I will wait for next event.
Sorry. Love to all. I guess June is a busy month for me. (22 years - second marriage).
Maybe next time.
Hugs
-
I will not be able to make this one either. Have a great time everyone - stay out of the sun!
-
So how long will you be at the restaurant before heading onto the beach? I'm not sure what traffic is like on a Sunday afternoon, probably not too horrible but I'm thinking I still won't get there before 1:30-2pm. I may then just have to join you on the beach.
-
Ronna and Joan, sorry you can't make it - will miss you! Patoo, I have no idea of how long at the restaurant but would imagine we'd still be there at 1:30 or 2(?). Sandy has told me the restaurant will allow us to leave our cars in the parking lot there, and walk or carpool to the beach, avoiding expensive/hard to find parking. So parking at the restaurant seems like the way to go, even if you are late to arrive...
-
Our 1:30pm lunch didn't break up until close to 5....
-
Okay, count me in.
-
Hi Ladies.. I am probably a no... I need to take my son to look at colleges, and we had chosen that day to head up to NE... If anything changes, I'll let you know.
Betsy
-
I cannot make that date either. It seems the weekends in June fill up really quickly!
Enjoy the lunch, beach and conversation!
Judy
-
Phyllis, so glad you can make it! But Betsy, Judy, NOOOOOO! So sorry you cannot. I'd so wanted to talk more with both of you! Since it seems this date isn't working for so many, do you think we should try something else or is June just hard all around? Not sure Sandy is aware that so many cannot attend - I will call her tomorrow and see what she thinks since she is really the one putting all this together...I was so optimistic about this date as it was okay for the first few people who responded
-
Hi everyone,
Here's my thought: we stay with the date for now since some people are available. If there's fewer than I'd originally expected, I'll just call the restaurant. However many we are, we'll just have a nice long lunch and go to the beach. I would suggest, though, that we put off the next outing until the fall. Summer is a difficult time, with vacations and kid stuff.
-
Hi, I cannot make June 10th. It is my parents anniversary ...62 years!! I am so sorry I will miss this. I will look forward to the July get together.
