Type of Chemo therapy after met

Hi all.  I had a met in lung ER/PR+ ( just removed) and now will get a bone and brain scan to see if there are some there.  If there are some , the ONC said I should have chemo. If not then HT.  Does anyone know what type of chemo I will be having?  I wanted to try to research this.  They don't know if it is HER 2 +.  I feel like skipping the chemo and trying the HT instead in either case.

    Hello Mimi,

I don't have any experience of this, so just bumping in the hope that someone who can help will be along soon.

Good luck with your scan results - fingers and everything else crossed that you get good news.

    Hugs, Angelfalls xx

Hi mimi. Sorry about the recent turn of events. I hope the scans come back clean. I had both taxotere and taxol when my bone mets were diagnosed and progressed.

I was first diagnosed in 2007 and have been NED for almost 4 years. Then mets to brain (had surgery in March), lungs, sternum and right ovary. I have started Taxol weekly and Avastin once every three weeks for a year. First treatment of Taxol was last week and that Avastin starts the next cycle. I'm feeling tired alot, cold, and thigh, shin, and shoulder pain. That's for me anyway.
