Cancer, go away, come again some other day...

i live in toronto and we have 2 of the best cancer/research hospitals in the world. i have IDC ,two seperate tumors 1)4cm and 2)2cm. it is a slow growing form of IDC with no metastisis.

when i was told i started planning my funeral, i was in total shock,scared,but most of all i didnt want to tell anyone as for fear they would feel sorry for me.

but much to my suprise i have told everyone(except my mother) and it has been wonderful to see the support people are giving me.

the chemo was long, depressing,i was weak and sick, anorexic and wavered between diarrhea and constipation.

doing the simpelest chores was hard, dishes ,laundry,buying groceries,but i had to do it.

 now i am having my surgery next week, tumors are down to 1)3cm  and 1.5cm. i have decided to only have a lumpectomy, im not quite ready to cut the girls off just yet.

i will have to have radiation(tried to get out of it) but alas 5 weeks every day............oh well im nearly there.

i have found this web site extremely informative,and when i know others have survived this journey i dont feel as alone ...........i was a critical care nurse for 25 yrs and we sometimes think we know everything.

im glad i get to keep the girls, no fake boobs for this gal, ill keep you posted...........
