Quiet here today. I have jury duty tomorrow so a break from the chaos I like to call work. I'm going to take a Xanax and pass out as soon as the kids are asleep. I get to sleep late tomorrow. Whoo hoo!!
-
Nancy - there are two of your kitty in my cul-de-sac at two different houses, different ages, etc. You have to look close to see which one is which! Rocket and Dodger...
Tried to do my good deed for the day. There were fliers out in the neighborhood about a missing cat. So, my DH was leaving for an appointment, opened the garage door, and lo and behold, the missing cat! He left, I called the owner, she came over and cat disappeared - of course. She has been spotted several times on our street which is about a half mile from her home. I have a big loud dog, so not sure why she would want to hang out at our house, but there she was.
Guess this is my cat update for the day! Mine is inside behaving himself.

DUNE, I can see your picture avatar here perfectly, and I clicked on your purplish linked name above it and it took me straight to your personal page, so at least this morning now it's working fine. TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN, as for boob removal plans, I kept my other one, no one suggested otherwise, so there it is. I had three cancers in the one the shark ripped off, so I figure I got my lifetime's worth right there. PEACOCK I enjoyed your story about the missing cat. I used to keep cats, very first one was the best one I ever had, his name was Merlin, and he was a beautiful bunny-fur black and white one, loved him so much. Last one I had lived 20 years, she'd get drunk and mean on catknip. Now we just have our boy Smokey, who healed husband's and my broken hearts when our older two passed last year. ALL, I keep listening to Eva Cassidy's "Over the Rainbow," I can't recall if I put a link to the UTube Video, she died of cancer about four months after that recording was made, which makes it all the more poignant, so get out the Kleenex, love GG, here's the link:

Veggy. Good luck today. I can be in your pocket if you want......
Cindy -
Veggy - good luck today. I'll be thinking of you and in your pocket if you want. I'll even drive the bus if you need us. I remember the feeling of going to the PS before my MX. Very surreal. lots of hugs to you today.
SAS - i stopped with the juice because of all the sugar. I started making sugar free crystal light and water it down like you wouldnt believe. I just have him convinced its juice. God forbid i call it anything else!
Its only 8:45 and I'm already bored here at jury duty. You'll be hearing a lot from me today!
-
I don't know who is in my pockets. I haven't checked this morning because I'm running a little late. I'll check on you guys later. My appointment is at ten and I go meet my friend who is coming with me. Be back later...rushing out the door!
-
VEGGY - with you today. Typing fast to get this in before the boards go down @ 9!
-
WHAT?! THE BOARDS ARE GOING DOWN AGAIN?
IT'S LIKE BEING GROUNDED!
-
Oh, this new layout is awful. too much crap on the left side of the page and it made the posts more narrow. Ugh!
Pocket bus is on its way. Nancy, looks like you're my first stop.
I already got dismissed from one case here at jury duty, which is great. But they don't let you go home after that. I'm back in the "pool" sitting around being tortured. Aaaarrrhhh!!
-
I was called for jury duty once.
The first case was 3 jail inmates charged with assaulting a guard. They had them on tape. The prisoners took one look at the jury panel and pled guilty to the plea bargain their attorney had arranged.
Next was a personal injury case. I was dismissed because my Mother had once been in a similar accident.
Third case was a civil matter. Dismissed because one of the litigants was a family friend.
Last case was a murder trial. I had to serve on that one.
-
wow you've been called a lot. that's crazy! Murder trial would be interesting, I guess. And scary.
Im in insurance, and no one wants anything to do with anyone who is in insurance. I was answering an email and I apologized but it was work and I had to get it. He asked what do you do? So I said "I'm a professiona liability insurance underwriter". and he says "no more questions"!
Meanwhile, if I get called, it will really suck. I was just out of work for 10 weeks following my MX, so more time off for this would not be good. Plus I have my exchange on June 6th so thats ore time out...
-
New boards = bleah!
I've been called for jury duty twice. The first time I was picked for the jury. Scum of the earth beat up his girlfriend's grandmother in front of her while drunk. Nice. Second time I just had to call in each evening only to be told not to show up the next day. After a couple of days of that I was dismissed and never even had to show up! That first time I had a wicked case of bronchitis and coughed up lungs throughout jury selection and the trial. They chose me anyway. At one point the bailiff came over and placed a cough drop on the rail in front of me. Gee...thanks. I think a DOCTOR and some ANTIBIOTICS might work better, but you won't let me leave in time to get in during office hours!!! LOL...
-
Got dismissed! They brought about 30 of us into a room where they do jury selection and made us wait there for like 15 minutes with no one telling us anything. Then some lady came in with papers saying that we did our service. Whoo Hoo!! Bazinga!
-
MY DEAR FRIENDLIES,
I'm not usually here this late in the day (hahaha... it's a little after 1pm), but whatssup with this new website format??? Our avatars are warping, took me FOREVER to realize "Dashboard" just might be my "Home Page," and LORD KNOWS where the forums are. No, really, I'll figure it out. I just wanted to do the Romp Room thing and say:
DIS BE BUUUUSHEEEEET!!! Love just the same, GG
-
Its almost as bad as Facebook going to the "timeline" format. Agree, GG, avatars look weird. My once tall, skinny blond is now short and chubby! She looks like an oompa loompa! i guess better than my picture turning me into an oompa loompa!
