Yes, orangemat...do you want to call?
-
OK, I just called. We're in, 20 people, under the name of Esther. Ample free parking in their parking lot. It's going to be two long tables of 10. And if I can remember, I'll bring the nametag stickers I have with some markers. Yay!
-
At least 20... And how are we dealing with payment? Separate checks or divide by 20? Or pay for what we ate and muddle through? Certainly easier to divide by 20 if we all eat the same relative priced entree and no cocktails... Thoughts.?
-
I say let's just divide by 20. That means we need to pay for our lunch with cash - I don't think they want to take 20 credit cards!
Judy
-
personally, I am a believer of the divide by 20 way!
yeap, need to remember to hit the cash machine
we are going to be what I call a MOB!
-
Is it a dressy place, remmeber I am coming from grass, mud and whatever. I will probably have zumba pink pants on and a survivor shirt. Or should I bring other clothes to change in bathroom.
Yippee, can't wait.
I too am a believer of divided equally. they will go nuts if separate checks.
Hugs,
-
Esther, can they make it a horseshoe?????? set up. This way everyone can speak to everyone and no one is left out of conversation.
Not to bust chops, but when you have long tables you really can't communite with everyone.
Hugs,
-
Sorry for getting crazy with restaurant questions, waitressed many years ago when I was younger.
-
The guy said the tables will be two long tables next to each other, five on each side, so the people in the middle will be back to back. I actually think this might be a good arrangement, so we're not that far from anyone else. There's also another party going on there that day, a christening I think he said. Maybe someone else who's familiar with the place can answer about the dress... Karmil, you're the one who originally recommended the place, right?
Here's the Tarantella's website again, with the menu and phone number, if anyone has any other questions.
-
This will be so much fun....I am bringing my camera!
-
This is a casual place - the greatest "attire" decision I will be making is whether to wear my wig or a scarf look!
-
Might I suggest that after lunch we swap seats so we can talk with others?? I usually attend a holiday lunch with my neighbors and for dessert we move around. Of course, not sure if we're having dessert.. just a thought.
-
Sounds like a great idea about swapping seats
I confess to not knowing the folks here as only found the thread last week, looking forward to meeting folks with sim situation
-
Hi NJ Ladies,
Sorry I have not been posting more.
Tarantellas is not too dressy at all. Jeans would be OK, nicer is always fine.
Ronqt1, you are probably OK in your sweats.
Betsey: I like your idea about switching seats before eating dessert.
I'm looking forward to meeting all of you!
Karmil
-
And hey, if everyone's meals look good, maybe we can swap dishes too!
Sorry, it's been a silly day for me here!
-
I checked it out, very casual. Good.
Again, can't wait to meet all my sistas. I will be leaving the SGK event early. Have to be there by 7-30-8. So 4 hours should be enough. I do not run in the race, and the last two years, could not walk the fun walk, so I sat in Suvivor's tent.
See everyone Sunday.
-
Ok...to confirm... I am driving:
Vanessa (aka blue cowgirl)
Rachel
Sandy (Alexandria58)
Carol (kayak2)
Lou (LouieNJ)
Did I miss anyone? -
Betsy I like the idea of switching seats too. Looking forward to this!
hugs
-
Hi ladies,
Hope it isn't too late to add my name(Lou) to the Get together for Sunday! What a fun idea
Thanks Betsy for offering to carpool. I'll meet you at your house then--am so looking forward to meeting everyone.
-
So we're up to 21 now? I'll call the restaurant this afternoon to make the adjustment.
-
woohoo!!!
-
Hi everyone,
Betsy, I think lovemyfamilysomuch may be coming - and it looks like we are getting pretty high up there in the carpooling numbers. So suggestion: we all get together at your house and then maybe take 2 cars. If needed.
Sandy
-
That makes 7... I can take 7, but if its too crowded, we can take two cars. I know someone offered to drive as well.
-
Hi,
I just noticed that I was listed twice in the list - Desi_NJ(2) and below Desi_NJ one more time. So I guess, it still makes us a total of 20 not 21. Hopefully it shouldn't matter...
See you all tomorrow..!!
-
DesiNJ.......oops, I fixed it
-
well, to the best of my knowledge there will be 18..I am bringing a friend with as I do not do well driving certain areas alone. she is not a bc survivor but a cancer survivor. looking forward to tomorrow. safe driving to all!
hugs
-
Candie, I emailed you earlier, change of plans, we are leaving SGK'S event at 10:30-11: am., so I will be going. Call me to let me know where we hook up. I asked her again if she wanted to go, but she made other plans. Plus as she is fortunate not to be any cancer survivor, I don't need her brain spinning in different directions with our stories.
Sorry for any confusion. My whole life is confusion. PS I am home now if you want to call me to confirm tomorrow.
-
Feel great today - definitely coming! Can't wait to meet you all!
-
OK, so now I don't know exacftly how many are coming, but the restaurant knows we have 21, and they said there is no problem to add (or take away) an additional chair or two. Yay!
-
Looks like 19 with Ronna who is not on the list above.
