Damn, Bern.  I'm sorry.  NOT what you want to hear.  But, 2b is still early stage cancer.  :)  Zero nodes...focus there, love.  Stinks about the hips...are you feeling it?  I had a cough and totally threw out my back.  I told my PCP that I am anything but a wimp about pain--barely used any of the pain meds after my BMX, but this is killing me!  ugh.

Lots of love to you and to all.  Jack had an egg hunt this morning at the town boat landing...too cute, and this afternoon he's going around the corner to color eggs at a friend's house.  It's so cute to watch him have friends.  :)

A man was blissfully driving along the highway, when he saw the Easter Bunny hopping across the middle of the road. He swerved to avoid hitting the Bunny, but unfortunately the rabbit jumped in front of his car and was hit. The basket of eggs went flying all over the place.

The driver, being a sensitive man as well as an animal lover, pulled over to the side of the road, and got out to see what had become of the Bunny carrying the basket. Much to his dismay, the colorful Bunny was dead. The driver felt guilty and began to cry.

A blonde driving down the same highway saw the man crying on the side of the road and pulled over. She stepped out of her car and asked the man what was wrong.

"I feel terrible," he explained, "I accidentally hit the Easter Bunny and killed it. There may not be an Easter because of me. What should I do?"

The blonde told the man not to worry. She knew exactly what to do. She went to her car trunk, and pulled out a spray can. She walked over to the limp, dead Bunny, and sprayed the entire contents of the can onto the little furry animal.

Miraculously the Easter Bunny came to back life, jumped up, picked up the spilled eggs and candy, waved its paw at the two humans and hopped on down the road. 50 yards away the Easter Bunny stopped, turned around, waved and hopped on down the road another 50 yards, turned, waved, hopped another 50 yards and waved again!

The man was astonished. He said to the woman, "What in heaven's name is in your spray can? What was it that you sprayed on the Easter Bunny?" The blonde turned the can around so that the man could read the label. It said: "Hair spray. Restores life to dead hair. Adds permanent wave."

Thinking of you, Windlass.  Hope you're doing okay.

Thanks for sharing the photo, BernieEllen -- so adorable.

KiwiMum -- did you decide if you're going to do the Zometa?  After a lot of contemplation, I decided to go ahead with it.  Made an appointment for my first infusion, which was supposed to happen yesterday.  However, I went to the dentist last Monday for a routine cleaning and to get him to sign the dental clearance form to start the Zometa.  Long story short -- I have 3 teeth that might need to be extracted (a contraindication for starting Zometa), so he wouldn't sign the clearance form.  Now I have to go see an oral surgeon and fork out the money for that.  Always something.....

    Hello All!

I just spent the last hour getting caught up with everyone on here! So glad to read howeveryone has beenmoving forward and putting this horrible year in our past. Windlass - I am still looking at my bottle of tamozifin. I just completed my last herceptin treatment and got "de-ported" and also had some scar revisions done. I told myself I was going to start it when I was through with treatment, but just haven't yet. I have gained a lot of weight throughout the year and heard Tamoxifin adds on another 20 lbs! I am hoping to lose some weight before I start taking it. I am just so sick of feeling so bloated with medicine - ugh!  I have had hot flashes since being on chemo and know they get worse with T, and I am also worried about the other SE of the drug - especially uterine cancer. I still can;t believe wht we've gone through - it seems surreal. My cheerleaders and college students were so instrumental in getting me through this past year - always keeping my spirits up and keeping me focused on my work and not on cancer. After my last treatment, I walked in the Relay for Life 2012, and we entered our video into Ellen's Dance Dare (for the Ellen DeGeneres Show!).  I think it shows that a positive attitude can go a long way! Suzy - sorry it's taken so long for me to reply!

I've decided I will go ahead and need to contact my onc to organize. It sounds like your onc is recommending the same frequency and approach as mine.

I'm so sorry to hear you've now got teeth issues. You are right ... there's always something! I wonder if chemo weakens our teeth. I'm going to get onto it today and progress things. Thanks for getting me back onto it!

Hi Seeay. I'm glad to read you are done with Herceptin and have that port out. I hated mine and couldn't wait to get it out. I've been taking Tamox for 6 months now. Apart from the hot flashes and a couple of aches and pains, I've not had any other SEs. I've also not experienced weight gain. I put on quite a bit of weight while having chemo, I've been moderately successful at losing it thru eating less and exercising. I thought the Tamox might make losing weight harder, it hasn't so far.

Hi everyone!  Checking in here.  I'm doing ok.  I have decided against reconstruction right now.  I have too much going on without dealing with that right now!  I have been put on anastrozole and I am so tired all the time from it.  Huge hotflashes too, I hate em!  Just went today for a port flush.  I thought I would never have to sit in a chemo chair again but I was wrong!

Suzy - first Zometa infusion scheduled for 15 May. I don't think I'll enjoy the chemo flashback!

Nice to hear from you Linda and Jodie.  I'm glad you are both done and getting on with life. :)

KiwiMum -- Best of luck with the Zometa.  Keep me posted on how it goes.  I don't know when I'll be able to start because I have to deal with the teeth issues first.  I, too, wondered about chemo weakening/damaging the teeth and plan on asking my onco that very question -- mainly because my insurance might cover it if chemo caused the problem.  I'll still have to pay for it because I have a huge deductible ($5200), but at least it would go towards my deductible.

Just thought I would stop by after being gone for awhile.....

I had my six month mammo yesterday and it was all clear.  YAY!  And, as my BS said, I will get "deported" on May 10.

    Hope everyone is doing well.

Some guy bought a new fridge for his house.
To get rid of his old fridge, he put it in his front yard
and hung a sign on it saying: "Free to good home.
You want it, you take it."
For three days the fridge sat there without even one
    person looking twice at it.
He eventually decided that people were too untrusting of
    this deal.
It looked to good to be true, so he changed the sign to
    read:
    "Fridge for sale $50."
The next day someone stole it. Caution...

One day I was walking down the beach with
    some friends when someone shouted....
    "Look at that dead bird!"
Someone looked up at the sky and said...
    "Where???"

While looking at a house, my brother asked the
real estate agent which direction was north because,
he explained, he didn't want the sun waking him up every
    morning.
She asked, "Does the sun rise in the north?"
When my brother explained that the sun rises in the east,
    and has for sometime.
She shook her head and said,
"Oh, I don't keep up with that stuff."

I used to work in technical support for a 24/7 call center.
One day I got a call from an individual who asked
what hours the call center was open. I told him,
"The number you dialed is open
    24 hours a day, 7 days a week."
    He responded,
"Is that Eastern or Pacific time?"
Wanting to end the call quickly, I said, "Uh, Pacific" .

My colleague and I were eating our lunch in the cafeteria,
when we overheard one of the administrative assistants
talking about the sunburn she got on her weekend drive to
    the shore.
She drove down in a convertible, but
"didn't think she'd get sunburned because
    the car was moving".

My sister has a lifesaving tool in her car
it's designed to cut through a seat belt if she gets
    trapped.
She keeps it in the trunk...

    ===================
My friends and I were on a beer run and noticed
that the cases were discounted 10%.
Since it was a big party, we bought 2 cases.
The cashier multiplied 2 times 10%
and gave us a 20% discount on both....

I couldn't find my luggage at the airport baggage area.
So I went to the lost luggage office and told the
woman there that my bags never showed up.
She smiled and told me not to worry because she was
a trained professional and I was in good hands.
    "Now," she asked me,
    "Has your plane arrived yet?"...

    ===================
While working at a pizza parlor I observed a man
ordering a small pizza to go.
He appeared to be alone and the cook asked him
if he would like it cut into 4 pieces or 6.
He thought about it for some time before responding.
    "Just cut it into 4 pieces;
I don't think I'm hungry enough to eat 6 pieces.
    *Yep,

Dear Me, They Vote too !!!!!!!!*
