Your thought on DIM supplements and estrogen dominant breast cancer - zero progesterone?  If you take DIM, how much do you take per day.  Anyone on bioidentical progesterone for estrogen dominant breast cancer?  Thank you for any information you may have. ((hugs)))

barbie, have you thought about possibly getting a consulation with a really top notch integrative oncologist -- somewhere like The Block Center?  ER+ PR- bc is not that common, and if I was in your situation, I'm not sure I would feel comfortable following advice about DIM or progesterone from anyone who doesn't have both a really strong understanding of bc (including experience with ER+ PR- bc), AND a strong academic knowledge of alternative supplements (including DIM), as well as hormones in general.  My concern is that bc cells seem to have the ability to change or mutate re. their hormone receptor status, and I'd want to be absolutely certain that whomever I take advice from has the most thorough indepth knowledge in all these areas.    Deanna

I am waiting for my blood work results regarding my hormones and have an appt. with a alternative M.D. -one who deals with bioidentical hormone replacement - Thank you Deanna.  I understand that hormones are nothing to play around with..just trying to get as much information and possible.

So it seems that my low hormone is testosterone?  I read that can cause BC and then I read that taking testosterone can cause BC.  Wow...never knew how much I need to see an experienced doctor that deals with hormones...I read an article by Dr. Wright..a hormone specialist...who said DIM is the extrogen blocker but I would not take it everyday and also Iodine is important...these were the two supplements he stressed...who knows who to believe anymore...it is a crap shoot as to who we can trust about any of this...

Have you read "what your doctor may NOT tell you about breast cancer"?  It has some interesting stuff in there.  Obviously we have to research any claims but it makes sense to explore ideas, options other than the traditional 3: Chemo, rads, tamox, that have been used for the last 30 years with varying levels of success...
