Orangemat, so we are almost twins! Happy birthday to you!
-
And happy birthday to you too!
-
Esther - I'm so glad to hear you're going. Looking forward to meeting you!
-
So we'll celebrate birthdays as well.
I'm right down How Lane, off of Livingston - 2 mins from Stop & Shop as well. Just realized though that I'll be coming straight from church which is about 15 mins from there. So you all may want to team up and if anyone still needs a ride, let me know and I'll make myself available.
-
Can I join you NJ ladies for lunch on Sunday? I live literally 5 minutes away from Isabellas!
BTW: Isabellas is a great choice for a meeting place. Really good food, usually not too crowded during the day, and free parking in Westfield on Sundays! The Northside train-station parking lot is probably the closest lot to Isabellas.

Hey Karen, welcome aboard and see ya Sunday!
-
Patoo... we can just meet you there...
Karen, where do you live?? In Westfield?? Glad to hear Isabella's is good... I sort of chose it randomly.
-
Not a problem, I meant just in case there is a need. (and a great choice you made! (though I chose the town!))
We're gonna have fun, fun, fun!
-
Uh oh...I don't want to be a lunch-cruncher, but Westfield has it's annual Spring Fling on Sunday the 6th! http://westfield.patch.com/articles/are-you-ready-for-spring-fling
The Spring Fling is really a great event. It's a big street fair, with carnival food stands, venders, etc...They close downtown streets to traffic. it will definitely be a pain if we just want to park easily and meet at a restaurant.
I can suggest a few other restaurants if anyone is interested.
-
Oh boy.... everyone shoud chime in... I am ok with staying with Isabellas, but what does everyone else think??
-
Is there something still in the Westfield area, away from downtown, maybe closer to the GSP? I don't mind staying with Isabella's either. Can we park away from downtown and walk?
-
Well.. maybe we should re-locate... Isabellas is right smack in the middle of the fair. Should we switch towns? Go to Millburn?
-
Karmil, what other restaurants do you suggest? As long as we meet, anywhere is fine with me.
-
There's a place in Clark called Tarantellas. It's closer to GSP and is very nice. They have their own parking lot. http://www.tarantellasristorante.com/
I could probably think of more places if I weren't so tired! Lol!
Let me sleep on it and I'll affer some more suggestions tomorrow!

Hi everyone. Sorry wasn't on last night. Just throwing out another suggestion for general destination: town of Somerville. Supposed to be an up and coming place. I have some meetings up there today, and I'll check for nice restaurants.
I'm still available to drive. Coming from south of Princeton - West TRenton area.

Good morning! My chemo-addled brain works better on a good night's sleep.
I thought of another place, the Boulavard Bistro. http://www.theblvdbistro.com/Menu.html
It's closer to downtown (technically it IS downtown), but on the south side of the train station, where parking is more plentiful. After we eat, those who feel like it can walk over to the Spring Fling.

wow..this is happening!! Thanks for the new suggestions, Karmil . Whatever the majority decides is fine...I think gettting away from the Spring Fling is a good ides tho. We are going to celebrate birthdays,too..how nice!I will edit to add some more girls. Make sure I don't miss anyone.
happy,happy, happy day
-
oops, Bonseye, I forgot to mention that we look forward to meeting you next time. hugs to you!
-
Karmic...just looking at logistics...if we are coming from the gsp, do we need to drive around the fling to get to the blvd bistro? Or is there a straight shot? I have not looked at a map.
-
Just looked at the menu... A little pricey for lunch... Is there a place with like $10 entrees?
-
On second look, Blvd Bistro doesn't open until too late in the day on Sunday.
How about Fujiyama Mama? Their lunches seem reasonable. They have a dedicated pkg lot. they are close to GSP and they are not too close to the Spring Fling.
I'm at work, so can't check any further now, but did want to put this out there before late afternoon. We should def check prices before finalizing.

Tarantella's has sandwiches, wraps and pizza for under $10.00. I like that it's in Clark, right off the GSP. http://www.tarantellasristorante.com/
Fujiyama's lunch menu seems limited unless I'm just not opening up the website properly. http://www.kpsearch.com/df/fujiyama/all.asp?action=lunch
-
Hi, I would not care for Fujiyamas, as I do not like seafood. I like the menu at Tarantella's better. But I will do what majority wants.
hugs

Betsy and Rachel and other Princeton area folks, I hate that I will have to remain a "maybe" until I see how I feel Saturday, but I am still hoping there will be room in someone's car for me as I definitely won't be able to drive...But can get a ride to a local meetup point if that helps.
-
I live in Clark - What time on Sunday? Tarentella's is a favorite of mine. Might be at my daughters on Sunday but if not I will be there.
-
Vanessa.. the other ladies are meeting at my house on Sunday at 12:30 and I am driving... So whatever you decide, just let me know. I am about 20 minutes from you.
-
Barbie... 1:30
-
BlueCowgirl, I can also take you if the other car fills up. I won't be home until Saturday evening so PM me if you need a ride.
My vote is also for Tarantella.
-
I have a van.. and so far it is Rachel, Carol and me... and possibly Vanessa... I can fit 7.
-
I am a "maybe" also. I live in Edison, so if you decide to stick with Clark or Westfield, it is very convenient.
