How is the parking situation at Isabella's?
Judy

candle1971, you started this thread. Can you edit your original post to make a list of everyone who will attend? That way Betsy will get a count by later in the week to make a reservation without having to go through all the pages.
-
judyfams, I haven't been in that area in many years but it shouldn't be too bad on a Sunday afternoon.
Betsy gave the website and everyone can get directions there. Is about 1:30 pm good for everyone?
BTW, there's a Trader Joe's nearby if anyone is interested. http://www.traderjoes.com/index.asp
-
Just checked their website. Food sounds great! Looks like the restaurant is on a main street, with no off street parking. Do we need quarters to put into the meters? Not even sure I saw meters in the picture, but didn't want to get there and find out we need money for the meters.
Can someone let us know. Maybe someone familiar with the area can call the restaurant and ask about where a party of 10 could park their cars. I would call, but I don't know anything about Westfield so would have no idea about where they are directing us to park.
Thanks
Judy
-
I'd be happy to call about parking... but I don't know Westfield either... There are two public lots within a block of the restaurant (looking at googlemaps)
-
Thanks for calling Betsy. Last I remember Westfield is a cute little, older, wealthy, town. Many businesses usually had parking behind the building, but public lots a block away (easy access to NYC trains) should work well.
-
Haven't called yet... looking to see how many we will be .. I am guessing 10-12?? And what time?? 1:30?
-
Count me in and 1:30 is fine with me!
Thanks Betsy.
-
Hi Betsy,
I have been to Westfield area and Trader Joe's is near by. They have a small parking lot and next to it is Stop and Shop. I don't think we need to feed the meters on a Sunday.
My daughter (23 years old) will be my driver. Is it okay for her to join us for lunch? If so, that will be two of us.
Thanks for organizing this.
Sandy.
-
Oh... I think Candie gets the credit for organizing... I am just a participant...
Candie, Can you keep a tally up top in the header as to who can come, and how many??
So far:
Sandy (2)
Judy (1)
Betsy (1)
Vanessa - maybe
Proud to spin (1)
Patoo (1)
Rachel (1)

Wow, count me in, I am in Sayreville but looking for a way to celebrate my...hmm, 29th birthday..again!
-
Betsy, could you please count me as a "maybe"?
-
Don't forget me! 1:30 works well.
-
I'm in. Really looking forward to it.
-
Thanks for organizing this Betsy. Princeton and nearby - I have a van and I drive. Who needs a ride?
Sandy
-
ok I will do the count. And yes, anyone can join us. I have a friend who may accompany me as I have never been to that area and am not a fan of diving far alone. I will edit the start of this thread.
-
Hi all, just finding this thread now. I'm in in northern NJ as well, and it looks like Westfield is about 45 minutes away from me down the Parkway, perfect! I'm pretty sure I can make it, and would love to meet all of you!
ETA: OK, confirmed, I'll be there!
-
Hi, I just found this thread as well and would love to join the get together on Sunday.
Alexandra, is there still room in your van? I'm just north of Princeton and could meet you somewhere. Thanks. Carol
-
YAY! I'm in North Brunswick (20 mins north of Princeton) if anyone needs to hitchhike!
-
I would love to come and will plan to on the next round! I broke my ankle and hope for good news tomorrow (hope to get a walking book and move on to my TRAM surgery so I can move forward) ...missed this link but it wouldn't have worked for me this time anyway. what a great idea!! Look forward to meeting everyone
-
judyfams, looks like you and I are the only ones coming from Bergen County (unless I've missed anyone). Want to carpool?
-
Hi Patoo, are you offering a ride? We probably live fairly close to each other and I could meet you somewhere.
-
Kayak... where are you?? I am just north of Princeton also... carpooling with Rachel and maybe Bluecowgirl... and Patoo?
-
I'm in Franklin Park - 2 mins from Stop and Shop on Rt 27.
-
I am in Kendall Park, 2 mins from Stop n Shop (between Henderson and Beekman)
-
Bdavis - can I join you then? I could meet you at Stop & Shop or Walgreens or the Post Office, etc., whatever is easiest. Thanks. Carol
-
Sure... Rachel is coming to me since she is south of me.. so you can come to my house... I live on Crestview Dr... off Henderson.
-
Oh, proudtospin, I just saw your post about your 29th birthday! Is it your birthday this weekend? Mine is on Thursday. Hitting the half-century mark, and I'm proud of it!
-

-
