Can you tell us about your tumour's pathology - size, type, nodes affected, ER/PR, HER2 status? These factors will indicate whether chemo is normally prescribed.

Noone can truly know whether cancer will recur in an individual, whether or not you have chemo. Some recur even after having chemo and some who never had chemo continue to live a healthy life until dying of something other than cancer.

The best that doctors can do is make educated recommendations for each patient according to the pathology of her tumour, other health issues and research findings about similar cases.

As you are not now a candidate for chemo, the best you can do is take the Tamoxifen and hope that it works, talk to your doctor about how you can live most healthily (diet, exercise etc) and report any symptoms that last for two weeks or more to your doctor.

I hope this answers your query. If not, post again!
