WOW.  I've seen it at least five times, and LMAO every time.  One of my girlriends saw it separately and found it very "pathetic".  Commentary?

What can you do if you can't laugh?  I don't know the gal's name that plays Meghan, but she is brilliant.

Love you all,
Bobbie

I laughed til I peed quite a few times with that movie.  Sure, the comedy was totally inappropriate...but holy cow I haven't laughed that hard at a movie in a long time.

I had A/C tx#1 last Friday and took Bridesmaids to watch, had also never seen it before, but love Melissa McCarthy on Mike and Molly. My son, who'd come with me to the chemo lounge, got the movie started on his laptop and took off on a restroom break. I just had the volume turned down but didn't plug in my headphones. When I saw that goofy crazy sex scene with Jon Hamm at the very beginning, I blurted out, "Oh, my God!!!!!" The nurse came running over asking if I was okay - !! I showed her what I was watching and she laughed too. I was just relieved that the elderly man two booths down couldn't see or hear it.

I did put on my headphones after that, lolol!!!! DH watched the whole thing with me after I got home and we laughed ourselves silly.

Bobbie, you know what, though, one of my friends said she didn't like Bridesmaids either, but that she did think The Hangover was funny. I thought they were pretty similar except The Hangover was more gross (yes, okay, I laughed at that one too). Not sure I can understand my friend's reaction.

My neighbor told me she didn't like.We are around the same age (40's).  Last weekend, DH and I watched and we both thought it was hilarious. I admit I didn't love the scene at the bridal shop (don't want to be a spoiler), but thought the wedding shower scene was very very funny.

Kristin Wiig is the star and I think she co-wrote and maybe had a producer credit as well. I liked Chris O'Dowd as the sweet Officer Rhodes.

Loved all the crazy characters (those roommates!) but my favorite was the future sister-in-law bridesmaid as played by Melissa McCarthy. Sooo funny.

Yeah, Melissa McCarthy plays Meghan, and I don't know but I have never seen a better comedic performance. I'm glad so many of you found it as funny as I did. for some reason, THe Hangover didn't do it for me.

OMG so funny and I tend to be a bit of a "prude"!  Kristin Wig is hysterical and I love her on SNL!   I loved the scene where the cop was making her do a sobreity test!!!  LOL!!

One or two funny scenes. That's all! Good belly laugh films IMHO...Airplane! Dirty Work with Norm McDonald and There's Something About Mary.

I know a bunch of people who didn't like it either.  Me, I thought it was hysterical.  But then again I have a pretty warped sense of humor. Potty humor (literally in this case) doesn't phase me a bit.  Loved the Hangover too.  I agree, laughter is awesome!

I just did not like it. Maybe it's my age (65),but I usually don't like the comedy movies and tv shows of today.
