Molecule gel electrophor 1

Options

I just got a letter from myinsurance authorizing my MO for the procedure "Molecule gel electophor" ...

He requested it after my last appt., and I'm sure he's never mentioned it to me.  I know most of you are much more savvy about such things than I am, so ... What is it and why would I need it?

Hmm, If it's molecule electrophoresis, I thought that was used to extract DNA. I could be wrong, but that's what I thought it was. Maybe you have a really cool doctor who's trying to figure out what in your DNA precipitated BC? I'd be really interested what they had to say after the procedure. How did it go?

ETA: the more I think about it, if it's what I'm thinking of, maybe it's not even a  "procedure", just some fancy lab work you may not even be aware of.

This is apparently what my insurance calls the oncutype test.
