Why can't they read measurements?
Got my new sleeves and gloves . Sleeves are great (have been since the 2nd set) but gloves are on their way back for alterations. Don't know what they did but did not use all the measurements sent them. It seems like we may have finally gotten the hand/finger area figured out to take care of my webbed fingers but not sure as couldn't keep either glove on long enough to be sure. This the third time they've done this to the finge length and I saw the original that my LE guy faxed and it was right but they made them longer so that the end cuts in just past the first joint from knuckles. This time not quite as bad as the earlier times. This time, fingers did not almost immediately turn into little stuffed blue sausages - just turned blue and white and tingled after about 5 minutes. So now I wait again for them but hopefully they will finally be right when they get back. If this doesn't work ideally, the next ones ordered will send a picture of hand so they can see the actual webbing, not it just measured/drawn on the order form.

After reading your post I thought, Is there no computer aided design system that can draw a exact pattern of our individual hands.etc? Can't they take a picture of our hand and get a drawing done by computer? I have no idea, just thinking out loud here. If they can put man on the moon surely they can make us a garment that fits.

My heart goes out to you. I hate it when a special order glove clearly is made incorrectly. This has happened to me twice in two years. I now put on the glove, pull out the order form and measure it before leaving the Durable Medical goods place. In my case, the gloves were too long. The last one I sent back was replaced by one that is a bit too short, but I decided to live with it rather than send it back. Still it's pretty annoying. Hang in there. They will eventually get it right.

I never knew I had webbed fingers until LE and gloves. I always knew that rings would always be 'sitting' closer to the joint than the knuckle than other peoples hands looked but never really thought about it other than just everybody's different. Work/winter gloves never fit right - always had glove hanging off of my fingers - so thought I just had short fingers. WRONG! Thanks to LE and gloves I now know that they're somewhat webbed. (Toes are worse but I've always known that as they are obviously webbed and toes are about 1/2 the lenght of big toe.)
Because of the webbing, compression gloves really cut in on the skin between fingers (thumb to index and ring tp pinky aren't too bad) and it really HURTS. I've never had Off The Shelf sleeves or gloves as they don't any that are close to measurements in light compression. They do make sleeves that would fit in med and heavy compression but for weird me they make LE much worse.
My garments are mailed to me so can't immediately refuse them back. When they come in I wash them (my LE guy says to before trying them on and the company info says they have to be washed before returning them anyway). What doesn't fit, gets taken to him (have 10 days to do it but get them to him as soon as I can get up there) and he sends back for alterations.
I wonder how I could get along with my weird hand/arm if I couldn't get custom garments. I do not know what the difference in price between OTS and custom but there has to a difference. I also don't understand why, in today computer world, there isn't a better way of 'sizing'. I'm sure I'm not the only weird one and quite probably not the weirdest one either. We will get it done though eventually.
