from MRI to CT scan, really worried

Options

Had an MRI recently for pain in neck and shoulders.  Results given after week of anxious waiting revealed all clear in that area.  However, MRI has shown up a 'very small' spot on right lung and liver appears 'cystic' something they were not looking for!.  Onc has advised for CT scan to be done as they cannot clearly be sure what it is. Unable to give me any definite answers.  I am so afraid and thinking the worst.  I was diagnosed with bi-lateral BC with no node involvement, finished my Herceptin win Feb '12 and chemo last year.  So want to move forward and put all this behind me but nothing seems to be in my favour at the moment.  Will it get easier to deal with?, does it ever go away?

amethyst - So sorry that you are having to deal with such worries. Hopefully the chemo and Herceptin did their job and the CT will show nothing to be concerned about. Waiting and wondering drives one crazy doesn't it? When is the CT?

I am not sure the fear ever goes away, but you will find that you are able to live without constant worry. It is good that your onc is on top of things so that you know for sure what is going on.

Hang in there - keep us posted

    Sending you ((hugs)) & smiles.

barsco1963, thank you so much for your response. Yes i am also hoping and praying that the chemo and herceptin would have done their jobs.  If only there was a way of finding out if they worked for me or not.  I guess the CT scan results will put an end to this, until then my anxiety levels are rising daily!

    Will keep you posted.

wishing you all  the best Smile
