WTF... My body is self destructing :(
So, I went to the OB today to check on my PCOS. No big deal right... Well apparently I get to celebrate the end of my chemo with a 7in hemoragic complex ovarian cyst!!! YAY, no so much. So far we are on a wait and see, follow up US in 5 weeks. Before then I am supposed to go to TX for revision surgery on my margins and appts with my RO. Has anyone had one of these. I am so freaked out and comfused I spent 4.5 hours at the OBs office today, so I am not very happy. Thanks for listening. Oh, and I am on low activity to prevent ovarian torsion. Apparently I am now at risk for my ovary spinning on itself and cutting off blood flow
. On an up not, my other (rt) ovary is still activly producing eggs and my uterus looks good.!

My oldest DD who is turning 26 next week, had a ruptured ovarian cyst at almost 17...then more started developing...so she's been on the pill since then....I worry about her when she goes of the pill to try to have kids....Wish I had some words of wisdom for you.....(((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))

So, so, sorry you are going through this. I am guilty of sometimes forgetting there are other parts of my body still functioning or may have problems too. BC gets all consuming at times. I really feel for you. I have PCOS too and have had 2 cysts rupture a few years ago. Painful to say the least. I hope you are able to rest and praying it will resolve on its own. Keep us posted..

U poor thing---now u have to wait for these things. Ouch--I wish I could help u in some way but I'm pretty useless, just caring. I hope all goes well for u. But u watch someone will come on and know more about this. See now I have a pain in my ovary that I don't even have anymore--I'm so sorry.

Thanks for all the virtual hugs. Its really not painful.. I would never have known it was there. I have had smaller, simple cysts that hurt more. Its just the unknow (hemorroragic SSp) thing that freaks me out so. That and staying on my surgery/radiation schedual. If I am honest, I am a little scared about ovarian cancer since I am BRCA 2+, But I am really really trying not to go there in my head. Deep dark places and all. I am just trying to get all my medical issues on the table now so we can deal with them now. I intend to be here a while, and I don't want something to sneak up on me again... Thanks again for all the hugs. I have a call in to my big gun Docs down in TX so hopefully I will hear something tomorrow about my timeline.

I know it must be hard right now but hang in there. You're right, don't let your mind go to that dark place - keep moving forward and tackling everything one at a time if it comes to that!
I had an ovarian cyst (can't remember what type, but it was large) removed during treatment and it was a breeze compared to everything else I had to go through. I too had no idea it was there till they saw it in a scan, the doctors could not believe I had not noticed anything before... although, I did feel a difference after it was out, now I don't have to go to the bathroom as frequently! haha
I had 'belly button' keyhole surgery (2 small incisions under my tummy and 1 through my belly button) and other than the hours after waking, did not feel any pain afterwards and what I did feel was relatively minor compared to my mastectomy pains. The best part was waking up in time to hear my doctor tell my husband that it was benign. I also healed pretty quickly afterwards.
Hope this helps and all the best with the big guns!

After starting tamoxifen I had a cyst on my ovary they followed once a month for 3 months. It changed sides and position but they "couldn't be sure it wasn't the same cyst". Absolutely crazy, but I decided it was time to just go the whole way and get it all out. Had a total hysterectomy and oophrectomy and in a big way it was a weight off my shoulders (and pelvis
).
Since I am ER/PR positive I figure its a step in the right direction.

So, I just heard back from MDA, kind of a blow off I guess. No advice or info, just to follow up with my local ob. Getting to be less and less of a fan of my MO down there. If I wasn't BRCA pos I wouldn't be worried, but that just adds a whole other dimension of stress for me. I have so many different docs its getting out of hand. OB, regional onc, MDA onc, PCP, Regional surgeon, MDA surgeon MDA RO. I feel like I get bounced around a lot. GRRR.
