Galena's Breast Cancer Vaccine Doomed to Fail

Could someone who understands medical statistics comment on this opinion article? I had hopes NeuVax might be promising but wondered how it could work for Her2+ but not Her2+++. There are 3 pages but it's not hard to follow other than a few statistics.

Interesting perspective. There are another phase III trial that's testing Herceptin on Her2+ and Her2++ early stage BC patients (3000 people).

Herceptin doesn't work for late stage centrally negative BC. I can think of at least one reason why Neuvax would not work well on Her2+++ people: maybe the immune system is used to Her2 proteins in Her2+++ people.

I'd be interested to follow Galena executive's insider trading pattern. If they are just trying to bilk investors on faulty science, then lots of insider sales would be a sign.

Either way, 3 years of clinical trial would tell us whether it works or not. Clinical trial patients shouldn't lose since neuvax seems pretty safe.

The results of this BC vaccine have been promising, but this is an older vaccine

and newer BC vaccines may be even more effective, since the technology is evolving

quickly
