Vitamin D blood levels DROPPING

Options

Help.  My vitamin D blood levels are DROPPING - down from 35 to 26 in 5 months, and that is taking, get ready for it, 6,000ius of Vitamin D3 DAILY.  Has anyone else had this problem?  I just can NOT get the Vitamin D blood level up.

In my 5th year of Arimidex, bone density tests have always been very good.

Symptoms, except being very worried, I am more tired than usual, low energy, and FEAR something is wrong.

    Hi Sunflowers,

Have you tried to vary your brands? What are you taking? My friend works in the vitamin industry, and he says that the supplement companies have done research into Vitamin D absorption, and it seems that people have a natural threshold for what their body can take in terms of Vitamin D.

FWIW, I was told that you must take your supplements in an oily base.  I hope you find some answers, and that you can get your levels up.  Perhaps it was a lab error? Maybe you can retest as well??

    Hi,Marianna

great questions - and yes, same very VERY good brand, Pathways, by the Apothecary.  Have used for years, in a RICE BRAN OIL base, capsules, taken with separate cal/mag. K2.

No changes - except the increase in doseage to try to get it up to 50.  Had retested today.  Also have my regular check up at Dana Farber next month, and they're alerted to check this out in depth too.

Concerning - but was told by them it most likely has nothing to do with bc.  PHEW...relief...
