veggy
For those of us with BC, whether we realize it or not, that first diagnosis starts us on a lifelong journey. For so many there are more diagnoses to come but even for those who only have the one there is fear and vigilance. I can only distantly comprehend the fear you have been going through. I respect and admire you for the research, study and thought you have done in your decision making process. I know your decision will be the one right for you and I will be the first in line to lend you all the courage and strength I have as you move forward. Love YOU my sister.

Ohhhh....those pics bring back memories!!!!
-
I can definitely drive that bus. I'll have to get a groovy cap to go with it...
Veggy - I also was a lumpectomy candidate but opted for a BMX with immediate recon. I'm sure SpecialK can answer more of your technical questions than I can (a lot of what the dr said when in one ear and out the other) but I can talk to you about my thought process, emotions, or just listen to your thoughts, fears, etc. feel free to PM me. I'd be more than happy to talk to you on the phone too.
Nancy - I'm agreeing with your approach that I have to tell them what's good for me. My main concern is me, but I want to work with them so the job gets done. It's only insurance, I should be so concerned...
Special - I think your storm is her in NY now. The rain is torrential. I went to school in Tampa, I remember the awful storms we had! -
lauren - did you go to UofT, USF or somewhere else? My DD is a senior at USF right now! I am a California girl and thunderstorms and crazy rain scare me!
-
HOWDY ALL!!!! I just got caught up and I am so happy to see Veggy posting! Welcome home sweetie...
Special...I never realized how often I check myself for new bumps ... and I found a little somethin somethin on my chin bone Saturday ... it's on the inside of my jow bone really ... whatever the little f-er is, it's getting looked at this week ...
It was my beautiful oldest daughters birthday today - she turned 20. Just an absolute precious gem that girl. It was a wonderful day to see her open presents, eat an amazing dinner, enjoy her cake ... just watching her made me happy.
Did Crog post? I don't remember seeing any ...
I was looking a hats ... what do ya think?
Lauren...the whole shebang for you!
Chabba ... one for you...
GG - are you bringing the pup?
Sas ... I got one for you...
Extras 'cause you know I'm brain dead a lot of the time and I can't miss anyone!!
Special ... groovy!
Teresa ... all for you
Blessing ... I hope you like your legs!
Nancy and all the ladies in that crazy heat ...
If anyone has a little black dress...
And a nice stem for Veggy
or a salad if you rather!
XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXXXXXXXXOOOOOOOOO
I'm going to have to try and lay down!!! Gettin a little goofy...
-
Still in hospital because of my Coumadin level.. Otherwise I would have been home yesterday. Will have to catch up with all the posts when I get home... Hard to read and write posts on this iPod.. My eyes don't see as well as they used to. Anyone who needs me in their pocket for the next few days, know that I will be there......
-
fuzzy, you scare me! I'm still a natural blond, just a bit darker now and with a few silver threads among the gold but it was more that color when it was long enough to reach my waist. And yes back when we wore hats I had some crazy ones and that was one of my favorite shapes. Never saw a flower print one but probably would have worn it if I had. I did have a red one like that though.
edited to correct addressee
-
Groovy, man. Peace...
I am a child of the 60s, but I was too young for the bad stuff...
-
Chabba - Sorry for scaring you. I was checking everyday but just too frozen in my depression to write. I had no words. I finally slept last night. I took 2 ativan and had me a good sleep. I was getting a little cranky.
-
Love, love love the outfit!
Special - I went to USF. Apparantly its changed a lot since I've been there. I can't believe they have a football team!
So get this - I just got something in the mail for jury duty. Man, they are going to love me. Hopefully it will only be a day, but I'm sure they will be annoyed none the less.
-
Fuzzy - i liked it so much that I changed my profile pic!
-
Lauren - that is a neat profile picture. I love it!!!! I want one like that. Find me one too Fuzzy!!
-
veggy, I'm so sorry about my last post, don't know why I addressed it to you when I meant fuzzy, maybe because you both have been on my mind and in my prayers so much lately. I was responding to her hats.
-
That's okay. We all have a lot on our minds lately.
(((hugs)))
-
OMG - LOVE my new legs....in fact I love the whole outfit!!! Thank you, Fuzzy, for the fashion advice....
This is funny....I was rummaging through the back of my closet yesterday, and ran across some dresses I haven't been able to fit into for years. I thought, oh, what the heck. Let's see if I've lost any inches. I tried some on, and WHOA NELLIE!!!! Some of them fit! Really well!!! Now if it weren't for the giant shoulder pads and 1980's styling, I'd be happy.....guess it's donation time....
Or maybe the "Dynasty" look will return!
-
Veggy honey...here you are!!
Madpeacock...This has your name all over it!
And extra incase I missed anyone ...
Blessings....you made me laugh with the shoulder pads!!! It's unreal how long I keep stuff!!! My kids ask me for "dress up day at school" ... for 80's etc!! And, yup...I always have something!!!
LOL
-
I'd change my profile pic too but it's already so 60's and 70's!! LOL That made my day that you all liked em!!! XOXOXOXOXOXOXXX
