Swollen lymph? channel beneath and into breast
This morning I felt a prominent vein like tubular swelling at 6 o'clock just below my BC breast, with the channel leading into the breast. This can only be felt in a standing position. It is near the surface of the skin and looks like a swollen vein, but not blue.
I do have breast lymphedema that comes and goes, with swelling of lymph channels within the breast. But this new issue is different in that the swollen area is vertically straight.
I went to the ER and was examined. The doctor said it didn't feel hard like cancer would. He was not too worried but prescribed an ultrasound, which I will have tomorrow.
Has anyone had something similar?
By the way, I just saw my BS on Thursday and he did not find any problem, though this swollen area can only be felt when in a certain position.
Thanks for any help that anyone can give.

Hi Racy,
I haven't had anything similar to this, but just wanted to share a (((hug))).
I'm going through the same worries at the moment with a new lump in my BC breast.

Thank you Julie. I'm in Brisbane. Where are you?
I hope both our issues turn out ok. This constant worrying does interfere with our lives. Not a good way to spend Sunday.
I try to remind myself that the chemo and hormone therapy are likely working as we are only a short time since diagnosis. Hopefully your lump is just scar tissue or fluid. I will say a prayer for you.

Thank you Day. It does look a bit like that but is not as long (maybe couple of inches visible) and can only be seen and felt when stretching out the surface of the area by lifting the breast. It is not painful.
I will book an ultrasound this morning.
Thanks again. I appreciate knowing about this possibility. -
Hi Racy, I'm from Albury NSW. I'm hoping the chemo got rid of it all too, and I know that the likelihood that it is a recurrence is probably low, but that doesn't stop the worry.
Let us know how you go.
Julie.

Hi ladies, I had an ultrasound today of my breast and the adjacent area with the prominent vessel. The vessel couldn't even be seen on the ultrasound. All findings were benign fortunately.
I think Day's diagnosis may be right.
