excisional biopsy on Thurs now waiting game
Well, it's been a crazy ride so far! Diagnosed with DCIS after biopsy found 2mm focus of DCIS. Did braca test (negative) and then MRI. Switched BS who wanted a better look at calc clusters near chest wall and ordered another mammo. Mammo ended up showing another mass that was not in any of my previous films. Tried to biopsy it but it was too deep. Another pathology lab looked at my first biopsy slides and said it didn't meet the threshold for DCIS. Wire-guided excisional biopsy of suspected areas (new mass and the two calc clusters by the chest wall) this past Thursday. Now waiting to hear on pathology results. BS says she doesn't think it will be cancer but will have to wait on report to be absolutely certain. Let's hope the ride ends here! Please send good luck vibes my way!

The waiting is the hardest part. first waiting on the test results. Then waiting on your doctors appointments, then once you decide on a treatment plan more waiting...Good Luck and I hope you get good news.
