Kim - any ibuprofen can cause bleeding - with my port, I am on a low dose of coumadin (warfarin generic) which can also cause bleeding so a lot of times they will advise not to take ibuprofen in combination with it.  But my nurse said it is such a low dose that it isn't an issue.

Indigo - do you have your surgery scheduled yet?

Survived Walmart without hitting anyone. Of course had the slowest checker and while waiting in line had hot flashes. Wanted to rip my hat off I started sweating so bad. Thought better of it with so many kids around. I could see the ad already "woman scares the shit out of tons of kids in Walmart, film at 11". So I'm ready for a nap now. Hope everyone's day is going good!

    Dear Taco Bell,

Please bring me food.  I know it is not good for me but I have no intention of cooking nor do I have groceries and I have been abandoned for evening by nerd husband...who I should be greatful is playing a game from the 1980s with his nerd friends rather than going out carousing.

If I am forced to round up children and go through the drive thru, I will be wearing my pajamas and no wig.  Your employees should be warned.

    Sincerely,

    :) K

I vote for taking over the world also. What would be the first line of business? Everyone must shave their head? It would be nice to not want to slap all these women flipping their hair around. Drymouth for everyone?

If one whines on Facebook about "I just need a change, I am so bored" just to get people to feel sorry for them in some vauge manner - and they do not have a major illness - they will be immediately tasered.

Whining about weight or bad hair day is an automatic 3 days in the hole.

kltb04 - now do you actually have a taser or did it come with your superhero pj's?

I totally hear you ladies. Went to the local No Frills (discount groceries, great deals).  I actually thought it would be worse.  Got home took a nap.  Feeling alot more tired this last round.  I had nothing in yesterday either, ordered pizza.

Oh yeah, love the FB friends like that, not. 2 girls in particular.  If there's not a man in their life, well lets just say by some of their wah, wah postings, its not surprising.   You know, "I'm bored", "Why do bad things only happen to me?". Meanwhile these broads are nearly 50.

Kim - I guess I will need to acquire one...

MLB - I would have to go in to get pizza so that's out.  So it is either McD's or TB.  Or Sonic but then you have to sit there in the stalls and people can see you.

No they wear "care caps" in weird geometric patterns that match no clothing they own...at least this one does.

Fajitas sounds good - we had those this week but it was just the frozen/precooked meat so they weren't the best.

OMG you guys are cracking me up! DH thinks I'm insane sitting here laughing to myself. Kltb, your care cap comment about knocked me off the couch...that's been my latest rant everytime I get dressed lately. And your letter to TB. I have to stop reading...my stomach hurts too much to laugh this much!

MLB- I am so excited for you! I think the only reason I managed to get my butt in the chair this week was knowing I's only have one more to go. I know what you mean about the fatigue getting worse. I've pretty much slept all day today. If next time is worse I'll just be in a coma.

Shera- I'm with you on the dark days. I am usually a very happy, easy going person, but all of this just wears you down and makes it impossible to stay positive. I'm also finding my patience is extremely thin. I quarantine myself a lot for others protection. On a different note though, you look fantastic bald! You are beautiful! Your wig is great too...it looks similar to mine, just brown. The length makes it easy to do different things with it. Hope your anniversary was fun!

I hope everyone else is enjoying their weekend, and if like me, you can't enjoy it, that at least you get through it! : )

Myleft - who needs superheroes when the following butt-kicking chicks were bald/shaved: Ripley (Aliens III), Evie (played by none other than the beautiful and talented Natalie Portman) of V for Vendetta, and who could forget G.I. Jane? And while she's not an action hero, there's Sinead O'Connor who still rockin' the bald after however many years. And - going even farther back and really dating myself, Persis Khambatta of Star Trek - The Motion Picture. Hmmmm.... that reminds me, there was another badass bald female alien in another more recent Star Trek movie the name of which escapes me - the actress was the same one who played the witch in The Chronicles of Narnia - but as she was a Borg, she was a villain so maybe she doesn't count.

Kltb04, I think I just outed myself as a closet geek - just punch my ticket and I'll be joining your DH in Nerdsville!

And ohhhh.... thanks so much for suggesting the tramadol! I had some left over from my foot surgery and went ahead and tried it. It worked!!!!! :-)

Lol indigo! I had a lady ( new wife to my BIL) only met her once. When she saw a pic of me bald she said "wow, you look like Demi Moore!" I told my hubby "in the stubble maybe!"

I took Tramadol for 2 weeks after my MX.  Worked great!  Good for you for saving some Indigo!

I think hot flashes might be more fitting than the taser idea!

Yeahh now if only there was something to cool down my face - as I feared, the chemo really lit up my rosacea. It isn't sunburn - I was coated in sunblock, didn't get burned anywhere else - and if it were sunburn there'd be marks from my glasses.... so this is the lovely fire face y'all have described. At least it isn't as bad as that headache was.

I've just been nibbling animal crackers and unsalted almonds today but about an hour ago I decided a chicken salad sandwich sounded really good. I went for it and actually it was good although half was plenty. So hard not to eat chips with a sandwich but I figured I didn't want to risk scratching the inside of my mouth - in my experience that has caused canker sores and didn't seem worth it.

Oh yeah - missed the question on the port surgery - they just put through the referral yesterday so no call yet, but it's going to be early the week before my next treatment from what I was told. So actually I could probably have taken ibuprofen at this point, but like I said, I think it was bothering my heartburn too. Besides, nothing worked as well as the tramadol is. In fact, get this: my almost-14-year-old chow mix dog has been really lame lately from her arthritis, so today in addition to her carprofen (ibuprofen for dogs) the vet put her on tramadol! She's in good health except for the arthritis, so I'm hoping the tramadol works for her, too.
