24 Hour Urine Test

I thought it would be helpful to start this thread because so many of us here are taking this test with alternative practitioners and it might help us to understand the various things this testing indicates.

I, for one, just got back the result of my first such test and it is very complicated.

If you know about aspects of this test, both general and specific, please contribute to this thread and if you have questions, ask here and hopefully some answers  will be found.

    I had mine done and got the results back two weeks ago....don't have time now, but will find my notes later today or tomorrow night and see what I can explain...that is, if I still understand this....but wanted to reply....looking forward to seeing what others have to say....

    My estrogens proved to be normal and working well. (I am now on a DIM-chrysin formula cream and have been exercising regularly for a year).

    That's GREAT news!

    I don't need prescription AIs!

    (My MO would have given them to me without ever taking this test!)

    Harder to understand, there are other indicators needing now to be cross-looked at with blood tests, so these results are confusing.

    I have signs of under active thyroid and adrenal gland exhaustion. (Ye olde fight or flight has been in overactive for months of treatment and its accompanying anxieties.)

    Also, tests can make me fearful. Sort of like going on a scouting trip for problems. I don't like tests because of that and I try to keep sensible. Too many tests can make you crazy. Or worrying about the results, which can be hard not to do.

    Best of all, I try to check in with myself too. When I analyze myself, and as I am recovering my energy after radiation, I am more and more so feeling well overall.
