Any March 2012 RADS out there?

luvmygoats--Thanks for your post and for mentioning the Tylenol and Advil. I had meant to include in my previous post that the nurse said taking either of these for pain is fine as they will not interfere with the treatment.

As for the Aquaphor, it is a bit greasy but I find that even a very thin layer does the trick. I used to think of it as just fancy petroleum jelly, but I see now that it contains lanolin which probably gives it extra healing properties.

Thanks MizMarie & Snoopsmom.  The next stop on the journey is either Tamoxifen or an AI.  The MO is doing a blood test next week to see if the chemo put me into official menopause.  I had no signs of it before chemo.  Guess I'll be hanging out on the Tamoxifen board! : ) 

Well here I am a week (or so) later.  I finally have some color.  We can now see that the rash is indeed part of the radiation.  It still isn't bad, just itchy on occasion.  The whole breast shots are done and I've had two boosts which will continue next week. 

 It will be so strange not capping my work day off by going to radiation.  I can go back to my normal working schedule which will be nice. 

I'm assuming that most of the "March" people are either finished or close to being finished.  I know that most feel like this drags on, but I for one can't believe how quickly the time went.  But then I feel like all time seems to go quickly.  Could be the age.

The entire time I put vitamin e mixed with organic virgin and unrefined coconut oil on it.  I did it atleast twice per day and more when I remembered.  I love that stuff, it is good for sooo much and inexpensive.

 For me:  23 down, 10 to go!  Or, 2 more regular, plus 8 boosts.  I had boost simulation today and will have the first tx on Friday.  I have some swelling and definitely am red; hopefully it won't get too much worse.

Congrats to those who have finished!! 5 more regular to go for me, plus 8 boosts.  My skin is quite tan now and tight, with darker spots.  Its rather fascinating to watch the progress.  I'm still able to go to yoga even though I'm pretty tired--moving around definately helps with my fatigue.

Congratulations Mary -- wonderful news --- celebrate !!

I just finished 28 treatments and then 5 boosts yesterday!  I am tired but it may be due to other factors like driving an hour and a half to treatments everyday, my washer quitting, my air going out and my sons graduating this week.......just life in general.

Since I'm going to be having all this extra time now I need to focus on exercising and get some of the energy back sooner rather than later!

I had my final whole breast radiation yesterday. I've finally experienced redness. It looks like a sunburn in my armpit and under the breast, but it doesn't hurt at all. On Monday I start the first of 6 boosts. We'll see what kind of reaction I have with that. I can't believe it's almost over.

Hi schatzi14 -- I am at Juravinski Cancer Centre -- my 16th is Tuesday but just found out Friday that I have to have 25 so finish up on May 15 --

5 years of Tamoxifin which I just started 3 weeks ago ... no effects that I can see -- all is good or at least as good as it can be.

Goodluck Snoopsmom -- all the best with your next part of this journey -- I am sure we will catch you on some other thread -- I have 5 treatments left and then have 5 years on Tamoxifen.

I had my last radiation tx yesterday! My skin got pink from the boosts, but otherwise I'm fine. Good luck to all of you! Here's to good reports moving forward!
