Wonderful news. Now about that dessert...it must have chocolate in it, and maybe coconut and pecans and Eagle brand milk-...wait a minute that's the dessert I was dreaming about. Those layered bar cookies with the graham cracker crust.

Make something great and eat til you can't eat another bite!

I have come up with an idea for my celebratory dessert to take to the onco's on Wed.   I am going to make a Red Devil Cake....with two layers of red velvet cake and one of devil's food chocolate in the middle....I will use the cream cheese frosting as filling, but will ice the cake with white chocolate icing.  I would like to use chocolate mousse filling, but know they use that cream cheese icing for the red velvet cake.  How does that sound?  I think it's very with the theme of why I am taking them a treat.

Marybe:  Just got back from vacation and read you good news!  That is just wonderful and I am so happy for you...by all means celebrate any way you feel like it...you have certainly earned that right!  You are an inspiration to those who question the benefits of chemo and whether it works.  It is certainly working for you!

OK, here is the cake and I dont know if I would be that anxious to eat it since it is my lst red velvet cake and who knows what this combo will taste like....I am half ill from eating icing.   I used the cream cheese icing as filling between the red and chocolate layers, between the devils food layers I used white chocolate icing and I iced the entire cake with white chocolate icing and was just too pooped to do much decorating so I just put a red BC symbol on it with colored sugar and some cake crumbs.  Since the ribbon is red, I don't even think it's for breast cancer now that I think of it...what is that,?.. the gay ribbon if it's red?   Oh well, I just hope it tastes good.   I will take it in with me tomorrow for my appt

Here is what my nails are doing.   Onco says this is not a normal SE of Adriamycin, but that when you do a treatment weekly anything can happen.  They don't hurt, but they certainly are not attractive.  The thumb nail was totally gone and I am not sure if that is new nail growing or what.  The lst thing they do is discolor, get sort of red and look bruised, then the white starts and moves down the nail and they get loose and lift up.  They would look better with polish, but the podiatrist told me not to put polish on them.  My right hand is a lot worse than the left and the toenails....well, you would not want to see them.....really a total mess.

My fingernails (which I kept polished) held up alot better than my toenails (which I didn't polish) when I was on AC. Maybe leave one unpolished for the podiatrist has something to look at......
