Being productive while waiting

I was diagnosed last Friday with IDC and Tuesday I learned its triple negative. I am 38.

I am applying for that special Medicaid for women needing treatment for breast and cervical cancer. That's going to take like 3 weeks. I have no PCP because I use the free health clinic in town.

How do I find the best hospital to work with? I understand tnc is tricky and being under 40 apparently makes the cancer different. What questions do I ask? Is there a clearinghouse to learn objective info on who they specialize in and survival rates for that kind of cancer?

Besides relaxing and destressing what kind of things should I be doing to be productive and preparing for treatment until my Medicaid is approved?

Waiting is rough. You might check out the tnbc discussion boards also, there are some Dr. lists there for different cities. I would call the cancer centers near you and ask who works with a lot of triple neg patients.
