I am a huge fan of alternative medicine and, having a son with autism, I have seen first hand the miraculous success of biomedicine.  For the most part, I practice "alternative" medicine and have for years, relying on garlic instead of antibiotics for over 5 years now.  While I haven't been diagnosed with BC (awaiting biopsy this Friday), I am going to be learning as much as I can here. I have a friend with a friend who is fighting BC with alternative medicine and she is having tremendous success.  If I get a diagnosis, I plan to go to her first and get started.  I hope you don't mind a new lurker, and I look forward to learning from all of you.  I've been taking high dose D3 for about 4 months now,  so I guess that is a good start.  :)

That is great about your friend.  Can you give more information about her situation and what she is doing?

Sweetbean, to be honest I do not know.  She is my friend's friend, so I have not personally met her yet.  My friend did say that she takes D3 (as I do) and curcumin (first thing I was going to start) and also some alkaline diet?  Something about cancer cells not being able to survive in an alkaline environment.   I would be happy to get everything from her and put it here, but I wasn't going to speak to her unless I get diagnosed.  I will contact her for you and find out more.

One thing that may help, I did a lot of research on curcumin for my son's autism.  Regular curcumin stays in the intestines and gets flushed right on through, helping the colon but not much else.  Bio enhanced curcumin, however, can sustain high levels in the blood stream for up to 12 hours and even cross the blood brain barrier.  Enhansa is an expensive form of this, Curca gel ultra is the same thing but much, much cheaper. That was my passion for months, studying curcumin.  It worked!  The makers of Enhansa posted studies of how great the bio enhansed form of curcumin is for many different things.

Hello Shachar and welcome.  I am really hoping that your biopsy results are negative.  Thanks for the info on curcumin.  I eat tons of curry (add it to everything) but this might not be enough.  Will be shopping for the bio enhanced one, transdermal is even way better Wink

Transdermal, wow!   I didn't know they had that!  Will have to check that one out for sure and thank you.
