??? I am posting it to all my threads .. anyway was thinking about getting a tattoo tomorrow , does anyone think it will be bad due to surgery in one week ????
-
Just a quick note. Congrats to all who have set some milestones. It will be two weeks for me tomorrow at 10:30 am.
I did find that Icebreakers were my ticket. They burned my mouth just like my copenhagen did.
See you in a week.
-
lovehertons, great job!!!!!!!!!! I used cinnamon gum because it was so strong, Will have to pick up some Ice Breakers for those cravy times, usually caused by stress. Two weeks is momentous, keep on keeping on, you're doing a fine job.
-
lisamarie, I'd run it by the doctor first, just to be cautious.
-
lisamarie - I would ask my surgeon before getting it. You can always get inked when you are healed.
-
Such great milestones LisaMarie, Karen and Lovehertons. Not to mention Jo's celeberation last weekend. Contrats to all of you. One more day....
-
Tomorrow is my recon surgery. I don't know what time I need to be at the hospital yet. Will find that out later today. PS nurse said I was on the schedule for 8:30 - hope that is when I will be in surgery. Will be in the hospital overnight - go home sometime Thurs afternoon. Will check in when I can. I am excited about this but at the same time am freaking out. Had a horrific experience long time ago with IVs and that is the big thing I am concerned about. For my lumpectomy and hysterscopy I was put under with gas first then the IV. At least I will be home for my birthday on Saturday. What a birthday present to myself - a new boob!!! LOL!
-
Hi Jo, the date is here, I can understand the joy and at the same time fear especially when you have had a bad experience before. I know you've told the PS about it. Remember, we are going to the hospital in your pocket, we'll try to tone down our excitement, and will wait in the room for you to come back with your birthday present!!! love and hugs, Karen
-
Jo, I love you amd will be with you all the way as well ... what a great bday gift a new boob... woo .. hoo , I will be waiting for u with a big hug ...xoxoxox
Went recliner shopping today and spent a lot more than i intended , but I got a double and I kinda like it my mom can stay close by ..
-

now u can all see what I look like ... lol -
lisamarie - Love the picture and BTW I love you more.

I will be on here a little bit tonight and then off until the end of the week. I will try and let everyone know how I am doing. If any of you see an update on another thread, please feel free to post something here. Everyone here has been my rock. As stressed out as I am right now I have still not smoked!!!
-
Way to go Jo , just for today we will not smoke
I also wanna smoke sooo bad especially cause one week from today ill be in surgery as well .. yuck .. But I am not smoking .. and always will be with u and u will alwys be with me . My cousin is moving to Texas not sure what part ... but when I come to visit her I hope its close so I can maybe visit u ...
-
lisamarie - Most people don't realize just how big Texas is. I live way down by Brownsville and if I wanted to leave the state and go somewhere else, I might be able to get out of Texas in one day. I sure hope your cousin does move close to me.
-

I have to be at the hospital at 6:30 in the morning. I should be in surgery by 8:30. May stop in again later tonight. (((HUGS)))
-
Jo, {{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}} right back at you, I bet you're a little anxious now, chew on that e cig!!!!! That's the same time I had to be at the hospital for my lumpectomy, they were doing so many things I really didn't have time to be nervous, and you're coming home with a new boob, tres' excitement. hugs and love, Karen
-
Jo , lots of Love to you ... I had that same time as well for my excisional biopsy ... will be right here love u
-
Jo,
Congrats on 9 MONTHS!!! So happy for you!
I will be thinking of you tomorrow as you have your reconstruction.... Can't think of a better birthday gift.... In honor of the occasion, I have broken out my really bad laptop so I can post a pic (can't do it on my Ipad)...
In your pocket tomorrow during your surgery and holding you tight during your hospital stay and recovery!

-
I had a 6:30 showtime for my lumpectomy as well. There must be something about that hour - Humm!!
Seaside - Love the picture - it is so cute.
Karen - I will be honest - I am a freaking basket case right now. I am also surprised, I have not even thought about a cig but do have my e-cig close by. Have been puffing on that today and don't feel bad about it at all. I just bought a new bottle of zero nic drops.
Will update all you wonderful ladies when I can.
Love you all and I am so grateful to have you in my life.
-

Karen,
I have been enjoying our crazy upstate weather this year! DH and I did a ton of yard work this past weekend and I am sooooooo sore as a result! We still have a lot to go and have half a truck load of mulch still sitting in the driveway waiting to be spread this coming weekend so definitely not wanting snow!!!! Fingers crossed that the forecast is wrong!!

Hi
I was on here a long time ago...I quit April 2009 and I am still going strong. Three years this month...O2Bhealthy quit right after I did. I like the list of quitters you have...so glad to see so many.
Good luck to Jo ...on whatever is happening today.
hugs to all!
-
Candie wow congrats , I can only dream of the day ..
-
Jo: Congrats on 9 months and I hope all went well with the surgery. I haven't checked in for a couple of days, you guys have been busy!
It took 2-1/2 hours to do the nipple tats, wow, I had no idea it would take so long. I think they look good, I only got an upside down look, then she put a bunch of gauze over them and said to keep it on for 5 days. I don't know if they are just being overly cautious, or if this is normal for a tattoo, I've never had one before!
Hang in there everybody!
