Veggy - so sorry you need the MX. Hopefully that will be the end of this shit storm for you.
Crog - I'm with ya on Thursday of course!
I look back and wish I was more creative with my name... Thinking now what it would be. MissUncreative? Nah, it would probably have to do with my kids. They are completely my life and I want to cry every time I look at them.
Tomorrow is my anniversary. So much to celebrate! -
The cancer cells did not match up to the last cancer. This is a whole new, different triple negative cancer. I love ativan. They gave me a stronger prescription than I already have. Nice!

Oh helllllllloooooo everyone!!!! Veggy sweetie WTF.... I know I'm pretty clueless but what the ... and how the hell does that happen?? I'm sure you probably don't want to talk about it too much but you are my family and I have eight billion questions that I will try so hard to edit....along with all my F words because it really is a kick in the gut. But the love you have from everyone here is endless and all yours.
Thank you all for the comments about to Foob a Lot or to Foob a Little!! And for the help with my arm/nerve/numb thing. I did 6 months of LE therapy and I've got those moves memorized! LOL They really do work! I like the "painting" visual ... that may just help me rememeber to do it more often! I think I will ask for a CT...I mean there has to be SOMETHING they can do. I'm sure it's getting worse. It never "hurt" before ... lately it's been falling asleep where it feels like "pins".
Crog my dear - best wishes for a smoooooooooth surgery and may you wake up to a smokin hot male nurse ... with excellent bed side manners... hmmmm....remember to ask for a foot rub! LOL I'm so sorry...twisted little sense of humor I have ...
I'M ON THE BUS - THE POCKET OF SISTERS BUS!!! Who's driving? LOL Laruen? Wren? Teresa? Sheila? Oh - Sheila ... I need to thank you for being here!! I have a MH appt on Friday, then Tuesday, then Friday again - twice. No trip to New York for me ... I thought I should tell ya as soon as I knew...major bummer.
Hello, would you like a foot rub?
And...just cause this is super cute

Fuzzy, I would have had a MH appt. this week, but decided to go see,Cirque Du Solie-(sic?). Been here near it for years and never have gone. So thats My MH thing for this week. It cost the same as MY MH appt. Just realized that.LOL
Have a chat with your doc.. Someone said nerve impingement I think it was Gail. We were saying the same thing just different ways. RSD and thoracic outlet syndrome are nerve impingement conditions that occur in different places for different reasons and have different diagnostic approaches. So, the evaluation by the best pain management specialist is part of what should be in your came plan. To have something cause numbness and tingling (pins and needles) in the hand----the impingement could be anywhere from the neck involving the brachioplexus(Thoracic outletSyndrome)>>>axillary impingment from scar tissue from LND>>>brachial nerve impingement with scar tissue from drain placement>>>ulnar nerve impingement due to positioning on the armboard in surgery--those symptoms would only affect the littlefinger and ring finger and outside of hand.>>>>carpel tunnel at the wrist. My point being is the the nerves affecting the hand exit the spinal cord at the neck, travel in an expected pathway down to the hand. To determine where the impingment is. each level has to be tested to see if your symptoms can be reproduced. IF they can be reproduceyour symptoms at a certain level, then thats likely the level of impingement. But just b/c it can be reproduced at one level doesn't mean that all levels shouldn't be tested. They should. In a previous time and still is>>>carpal tunnel and ulnar nerve transposition(moving it)was handled by an orthopedic surgeon, but if symptoms didn't go away>>>.then a patient may--may find ther way to a thoracic/cardiovascular surgeon that handled Thoracic outlet syn( TO)>>> A BS would handle the axillary impingment . Forgot to include shoulder impingement. which would be handled by an orthopedic doc.--------Because there are so many different levels that are managed by so many different docs thats why it's important to get the diagnosis right. A neurologist specializing in diagnosising entrapment problems who is also a specialist in pain management would be nice b/c they have specialized equipment that can start from one point and check each level. An anestheiologist pain mgt. specialist may or may not have the special equipment, but that can be questioned before an appt. The referring doc should know the doc's capabilities before referral. But some of these impingement things may be out of there frame of reference, so, conceiveably they wouldn't know what doc to send you too. When I brought up the type of brain surgery I wanted to my MO he had never heard of it. I got a little nervous when the neurologist hadden't either. but neurosurgeon did. So,the internet does a lot. The different types of interventions I've mentioned are all b/c of working the OR with all the different docs. and learning along the way. A CT is only going to pick up something big enough to see by the machine. Nerve entrapment usually isn't going to pick up unless something is big enough to be seen, thats why it may also be appropriate to have a CT. Involving a radiologist that can be consulted as to which types of CT to do might be a good call by the specialist. Starting with the least invasive, least risk testing is best first approach. That would be the nerve testing. If they are so antiquated as to have only the needle type emg study equipment shop for someone with more up to date diagnostic equipment. I consider you a complicated case b/c of previous surgeries, Whomever does your testing has to be up to the challenge. So, many docs hang out their shingle as pain mgt docs without truly getting the extra training. ASking beforehand what they done to enhance their knowledge about the above is good before seeing them.---Sorry this was so long.
Also had a typing problem,a typist would know what to do but I don't, so, couldn't do spelling corrections without allot of retyping>>correct one letter it would wipe out next letter?
-
win'r be posting till incision stops misbehavig
-
On the bus and bringing HUMMUS for the veggies. Yum-uss. I drive a Civic so you really don't want me driving a huge honkin' bus.
My kitty stays inside. We have coyotes that have wiped out a number of outdoor kitties in our neighborhood including two of my across the street neighbor's cats.
Nancy - Chipmunks? Cutest. Creatures. EVER. They come up on my front porch. I just want to cuddle one.
SAS - sounds like you had your overwrite function on...On my PC it happens when I hit the INSERT key, which turns off inserting letters, spaces, etc. I just hit it again and it goes back to normal. I don't think I have that function on my Mac, though. I'm a medical transcriptionist, so typing is my life!
Off to the Onc this morning for follow up. Ugh.
-
Can i drive? I love being in the driver's seat. And I can be an aggressive driver if you need it, or I can sit back, put on some nice music and take a nice leisurely drive.
Speaking of driving - I should have drove in today. LIRR is not for me. Jerk next to me decided to sprawl out. Sure, buddy, who needs personal space? I can't get pushed and bumped like that. Good thing is, my boss told me I can leave when I need to to in order to avoid the rush. I took a Vicodin so I should be good for a while.
madpeacock - good luck at the onc this morning. I hope its uneventful.
Nancy - chipmunks pretty cute. Although I've watched the Alvin movie about a million times in the past month so I'm getting pretty sick of them.
Let me know when everyone's at their bus stop and I'll start making the rounds. Hop on!
-
Lauren....please pick me up first!!! Here's your Badge!
I'm all packed and ready to go!!! I think this would be a little too cozy but it's sooooooo cute!!
GG can bring her new pooch!
Nancy...oh boy are they cute!! We feed them....probably have hundreds of them around my house! LOL
I don't even want to explain what happens when he actually catches one...
Sas honey ... don't you worry about typing and such!! You do a great job!! Thank you for all the information ... You're a master!
-

-
On the Google Image, right click then select copy. Then come here and right click to paste ... it might ask you if you want to allow it - select yes then right click to paste again...
-
Here's my hat...
and here's my bus. It has to be PINK
thanks for the help!
comin to pick you up.
-
OK, I'm on the bus. I'm really good at reading maps if that is needed.
Nancynow, You might want to keep SKK inside while the birds are nesting. They can be pretty aggressive when they have chicks. We have coyotes here also. One was chased into the Federal Building elevator by crows. They got a picture of him crouched by the buttons to choose floors. And this is downtown, not a suburb.
Veggy ((((((((HUGS))))))))

Sorry I have to SCREAM! When my employer fired me I asked him if he would have a problem with me filing for unemployment. He said no. I get a call today from DES saying he put down that I quit! WTF!! I called him immediately. Because I couldn't work due to medical reasons he considers that me quitting. Even though I never said I wasn't coming back, I never said I didn't want to come back, I never said I quit or gave a resignation letter. Of course because the company has all of 10 people I never put all this bullshit in writing. He asks me,"well what do you call it?" I said,"I call it medical leave just like the rest of the world!"
We saw the credit/housing counselor yesterday and there is a new program so there was a possibility of us keeping the house, but if I don't get unemployment, or a job in 2 months, that won't happen. I am so furious right now I could spit, scream, throw a major class temper tantrum, I don't know what!! AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
The DES person said she would call me and let me know what is going on either way. I'm not holding my breath for good news. But hey, if the MRI comes back bad I could probably go on long term disability. I wouldn't consider that an up side! FU to everyone on my bad side, ex employer, banks/mortgage companies, cancer, etc!!!!!
-
im on the bus with all my sistas....ill be sitting in the back prayin for all of you
veggy---sista/friend...im soo sorry for all the shit that happened since we met....hopin the MX will do the trick and you will be done forever.....you know where to find me till sunday...just give me a holla and ill get there...
huggggggggggs everyone.K
BTW have i told you lately F#%K cancer and everything that has to do with it
find a dam cure!!!!!!!!
-
Teresa - that sucks. I'm sorry he's such an @$$ hole. I wish there was something more I could do for than sending my best thoughts your way. I'll second that FU.
I think we all need a nice long bus ride... -
Put me in the middle of the bus...I'll start all the songs!!!
Veggy...how ya doin'?
Teresa...girl, you gotta stand up for yourself and fight for unemployment!!! If you didn't say you quit, then you didn't quit. It will be up to the State to determine UI ... but you can't let it go!!! Take that anger out on his ASS!!!! What a shitty thing to do ... I cannot believe the lack of souls that exist in the world!! Does he drink baby blood with his Eagle Filets? Bastard.
-
NANCY! TOO FUNNY - SKK has quite the little Cat-titude! LOL
HAHAHAHAAA!!
-
I AM fighting for the unemployment! My Dr. called not too long after that about my MRI and I kind of unloaded on her. Not about her or anything but I was upset and I guess I don't quite understand this disease. My bone mets are the same as the last MRI. So, what I got is that my cancer will never go away they just have to monitor and make sure it doesn't grow. No maintenance meds other than xgeva right now. Appt in 6 weeks PET at 3 mos. My Dr. says I should be eligible for disability, but I don't see how. So later I called back and left a message, with apology, asking for an explanation on how I'd be eligible for disability. Edit: I'm told long term disability needs 6 months disabled. I worked through my first four months of chemo.I stopped working jan 13th and am eligible to work now.
Meanwhile, fuzzy navels all around? Any other requests? Lets get this bus rollin'
-
I hope this helps ...
The Social Security Administration has recognized that some disability applicants cannot wait years (or even months) for their disability claims to be approved. As a result, the Compassionate Allowances initiative was established in 2008, which offers expedited handling of applications based on 88 different severely disabling conditions. Individuals who have been diagnosed with inoperable or unresectable breast cancer, or with breast cancer with distant metastasis, may qualify for benefits under the Compassionate Allowances program.
If you have been diagnosed with breast cancer that has metastasized, is inoperable, or is unresectable, you will qualify for Social Security Disability benefits under the SSA's Compassionate Allowances guidelines. When filing your claim with the Social Security Administration, you will need to provide sufficient medical evidence along with your disability application. Medical records, lab results, and written statements from your doctors should all be included with your Social Security Disability application.
-
YEAH!!! BTW I would looooooove a Fuzzy Naval right about now!
-
fuzzy - I think the way you spelled it that would be someone in the Navy who is also fuzzy...
Went for new post-exchange surgery physical therapy assessment with my LE PT today at sas's favorite hospital - Moffitt. Almost came home wrapped because I am having a flare, but she relented. But it looks like I will have to get a sleeping sleeve thing that looks like a whole arm potholder. I put it on and was waiting for the attack dog to run out and bite me on the arm. Kind of depressing. I need a fuzzy naval even though my DH is Air Force.
-
LOL!!! I was raised near a Port ... for the Navy ... I have a sailor's mouth and can't spell worth a crap some days! LOL
But...I'm not alone...HAHAHAHAA
-
Ha! And it is an exotic fuzzy naval, wow!
