Hi, I am in the East side, way east side. I have been on here for almost two years now and I don't know how I missed you all except that I think I am much older. I moved here after surgery and just before chemo, it was much too exciting of a move.
I am just on AI's now and am starting to feel more normal. I have been close to a recluse since moving here.
I love that it was a sunny day today. I went outside and walked around a little.
Nice to meet you

Hi Gingerbrew! Glad you were able to get outside and enjoy this beautiful day.
I'd like to make the meet-up on the 23rd, but I work until 7pm...
I hope to be able to make the next one!!
Have fun in Vegas, those who are going!!
-
Ooooooo...I think I can make it since it's Monday the 23rd!
...we don't leave until late morning on Tuesday. I will just have to make sure I am packed.
-

I can do Monday the 23rd as well.
OK, here is the skinny on the Las Vegas trip. Several ladies from the reconstruction threads decided that they should get together in Las Vegas. They opened it up to anyone and put it up on the boards. I went the first year and I think there were about 25 of us. I was not on the reconstruction threads, just thought LV sounded like fun. We had so much fun we decided it should be an annual gathering The 2nd year I think there were about 35-40 of us and last year I think there were 50+ of us.
It generally goes something like this.
Arrive Friday (make your own flight plans)
Friday night-group meet and greet-cocktails
Friday night-dancing usually somewhere
Saturday morning-breakfast at Treasure Island
Saturday day-on your own
Saturday night-piano bar at NY NY
Sunday morning-on your own
Sunday afternoon-brunch at Bellagio
Sunday evening-Fremont street (old town LV)
Sunday evening late-goodbye cocktails
Monday morning-breakfast for those who are still around
Monday-depart for home
All of the gatherings are optional, you can do as many or as few as you would like.
We generally get a negotiated rate on the hotel rooms and the piano bar, but most everything else is regular price or close to it.
TraceyZ will post the hotel information as soon as she has it. Most of us share rooms so there is 2, 3 or 4 people in each room. If you don't have a roommate, just post it out on the thread and someone will find you. None of us knew each other the first year and this is how we all met-by rooming with someone. It is a really awesome trip. There are people who gamble, don't gamble, go to shows, don't go to shows, drink, don't drink, dance, don't dance, shop, don't shop....you get the picture.
I wouldn't miss it for anything.

With such gorgeous weather we've been having... I wonder if the deck is open? (If they have a deck)..I think it would get the early evening sun.
-
Do we have a number ... I should be there at about 5:30 and can ask for the table ... outdoors or indoors if outdoors isn't available. Heading to the ferry and will check back on the boat.
-
I just called them and they do have outdoor seating but don't take reservations. I gave them a heads up though that we're coming and I'll be there a little early too.

I'm guessing about 10-12? I'm heading out from Mountlake Terrace in about 10 minutes ... can you put the group under Frosty? So either look for a rowdy group of women or ask for the Frosty group.
