Congratulations, Diana! You're an inspiration!

My heart was in my throat as I opened this thread (guess I'm still in "fear" mode - ha ha!) so I was obviously thrilled at the contents! Your stats are more similar to mine than any I've seen, so you've been my beacon of hope for years now. I, too am a proponent of exercise - have been diligently doing my workouts since 1985! - but I do love my Ben & Jerry's! Here's to QOL, however we may find it...
love, Julie

Congrats Diana on 10 years! Thanks for sharing your successes! I have just completed mastectomy, chemo and radiation. My Oncologist told me today that she may put me on an AI instead of Tamoxifen since I haven't had a period for almost one year now. What SE's did you experience on Arimidex? I am most concerned about joint pain and weight gain. I am still experiencing some joint pain from the chemo, last treatment Dec. 16,2011. I also exercise most days, usually hiking as I still can't figure out what to wear to the gym since I still don't have hair! Any suggestions? Also, coming to Palm Desert to celebrate the end of radiation and to watch some of the tennis at Indian Wells! Thanks for your inspiration as I'm a little worried transitioning into my non-treatment phase. Any good organic restaurants there? Laurie

Diana, I first saw your posts when I was newly diagnosed in 2009. The fact that our diagnoses were so similar and that you are also a fitness nut really resonated with me. You gave me hope at a time when I truly thought there was none. You are a fabulous beam of positive energy on these boards and thank you for continuing to be there for us all. Congratulations! Will post again when I hit 10 years myself.............. Hx

Diana,
Your story is encouraging to me because I have 9 lymph nodes positive which is one away from being Stage IIIc. Did you have any other issues that put you into the Stage IIIC besides the 10 lymph nodes? Congratulations on 10 years!!
