I'm trying to figure out the best diet to have and supplements also:  I know Vit D3 is good.  I started a post under Alternative medicine called "Vitamin D takers?" and got good info posted.  There is another Vit D post under complementary medicine forum that has good info.  Good luck!

I had an intestinal problem prior to BC, so I've been working on intestinal health for the past 2 years. I have quite a regimen with vitamins, but I believe it's made a difference in how I feel and appear.

    Here's the list:

    • 1 Multi-Vitamin
    • 2000-4000 IU Vitamin D3 drops
    • B complex
    • Biotin
    • Zinc
    • Cod Liver Oil 2X weekly
    • Occasional Vitamin A
    • Vitamin B1 (for more mental clarity on days when I need an edge at work)
    • Acidophilus
    • Calcium
    • Magnesium (2X daily) plus Epsom Salts Baths
    • Vitamin K
    • Occasional CoQ10
    • Turmeric

    Here's my list:

Multivitamin (prescribed by my integrative MD)

    DIM

    AdrenaVive (adrenal support)

Iodoral (iodine protocol on 50 mg daily)

    Green tea extract - 3x/day

Vitamin D3 - 5000 daily (Integrative doc recommends this as a MINIMUM for BC)

    Vitamin C - 4000 mg daily

    Vitamin E + Selenium

Magnesium 500 mg daily (broken into 2 doses & taken with calcium for absorption)

    Calcium 2000 mg daily

    Curcumin

    Fish Oil 2x/daily

    Probiotics 2x/daily

    Digestive enzymes - with meals

Only prescription meds are compounded thyroid (I have autoimmune Hashimoto's) and metformin - doing my own clinical trial with this one. My integrative doc was fully on board prescribing it for me. Only been on it a week and apparently I had some insulin issues as I have felt FANTASTIC since starting it. Cravings for sugar and carbs are GONE. Stomach bloating is GONE. This ties into my autoimmune and inflammation dysfunction, so if it helps with BC recurrence on top of it, all the better!

And yes, I fired my tamoxifen about six weeks ago, but that's a different story. Tongue out

Your thoughts on Melatonin?  Thanks Madpeacock....I wish I knew how to find the right integrative doctor in NJ - the one I went to was over, over kill...didn't feel right with her....did you go through a few before you found the right one?
