Jo - as you said on another thread - sometimes the weekends see fewer members posting.  I'll take this opportunity to send you my best wishes for a successful surgery.  You'll be in my thoughts all week, as you have been this weekend.

I will be there for you Janis & Jo. Jo, I understand the anxiety but agree with madpeacock, that you will be glad once it is done.

Maralegal - Congrats on the wedding....

Diana - Sounds like you'll be getting rid of those blasted drains soon. Hope you and Sherry continue healing at warp speed.....

Had a functional weekend with chores and the first cookout of the season.... Have a great week ladies.

Jo you will be in my thoughts, I know your surgery will go will. Keep hanging in there. Glad you mentioned quilting, I haven't quilted or made any tops in quite some time, I think I will pull it out and get started again since I have plenty time on my hand now, and plenty projects that need to be finished are started. Have a great week everyone.

Was just 'flying through' this evening but wanted to 'land' for a moment to tell you, Jo, that I will be thinking of you Wed morning. You'll be all set for spring/summer when this procedure & healing is complete. Hug.

JO- I was thinking about you lately and wondering if you were alright. I am glad your date is finally approaching. My deformed boob from 7 yrs ago looks better since the bmx. It's round again. It's small, but I haven't had any fills yet. I will be in your pocket. You have waited a long time for this. Good luck.

Jo count me in on that very crowded pocket.  I am so happy I am an early riser.  I think I will get the best ;seat' available.  You are in my thoughts and prayers...always!!!   Anxiety is normal, but know you will have tons fo friends nearby.

Lisamarie we'll just have to keep the parties going.  Count me in on the 24th.  We will get you through this together!

Healing hugs and love to all.

    Busy week for the Middies.

nfranklin,  the chemo symptoms can build up during treatment, but you got through the first one o.k. and hopefully the second will not be too different.  Good Luck today!

marlegal,  sounds like you had a joyous occasion there.  Congrats to your daughter!

Life moves forward.  Cancer or no cancer, our futures have weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, and mega-lottos (it could happen!) to experience.  It's not all darkness ahead, there will be some shining moments.  Those of you in the midst of treatment, heed my words!

Ladies, thanks for the very encouraging words.  I really appreciate them.  I am to have a biopsy of the small lesions on my liver.  The scans said they were 'low density'. One was not even picked up on my regular CT Scan.  I had some abnormal uptake on my right public bone that was questionable.  I had a rough last Wed. night but am beginning to feel better.  My PET Scan was normal overall except for that.  Do they remove these lesions?  Janis and Jo, I will be thinking of you and praying for you and I know about anxiety.  Diana, glad you are improving with each day. It's not fun to have all this anxiety.  Elimar, thank you for you recent words about how life goes on.  My youngest son is graduating from college May 11. Does anyone know about treatment for these lesions besides removal, and what kind of treatment is given?  I really appreciate this forum, it's nice to know we can come here and talk and everyone understands and we are there for each other.  Have a blessed day everyone!!

Just got a letter from Genomic Health and my MO ordered the Oncotype Dx and my insurance is going to pay 100% even though I had 4 positive nodes. I am so thrilled !!!! I did not want to have chemo without the test.

My dam tubes were at 40 cc's the past 24 hrs so I can't get them out just yet. It sucks. I did not sleep well last night and feel crappy and depressed today. I did however get myself dressed without assistance which is progress. I hate not being independant.

Well Im a tattoo addict so if I gave you my choice, it would be go for it if its not to large why not.  But I would have to say no if its a good sized one.  If  you heal good from them I don't see any issues.

justmejanis....I'm sorry to hear about your prolapse problem and I sure hope I'm not facing that a few years down the road. I guess it's another one of those things that they don't tell you about before you have something done and then you find out about the possibility. Yuck. I'll be in your pocket...

I'll be in your pocket too jo1955!

LovesChristmas......I hope I didn't scare you!  It does not happen to everyone so don't put it on your worry list.  You likely will never have a problem.

Dianarose I am so happy about your insurance.  One less thing to worry about through all of this.  I am so sorry the drains are so uncomfortable.  One day at a time.  I hope you get some relief really soon.

Sissy....I don't know a thing about the liver biopsy.  Just wanted you to know I am thinking of you and hope all goes well for you.  We're always here when you need us.

Hi Eli!  Lots of sage advice, I know everyone appreciates it.

justmejanis- the doctors office called this afternoon and if the past 24 hrs drains are around 34-35 cc's they will take them out tomorrow. I will do cart wheels !!! They did say I will have drains again after the te exchange, bummer.

Luckey for you Dianarose.  I had to wait until it was at 25cc.  I went almost 2 weeks with 1 drain in.  I dont know if different tyoes of reconstruction have anything to do with drains or not.  I had TE/Silicon implants in and no drains.  What type of recon are you having done?

Diana bummer you had a bad night I did too.  I tried to sleep in my bed and I was not ready to sleep flat on my back.  Did not sleep well and was in pain today.  So back to the recliner tonight.  Friends brought my supper woohoo, I have not had to cook in three weeks.

I am up for pocket parties this week.  Wish I was up for a real party but maybe soon.  But I do love the vitural ones that we have on here.  Jo is going to look amazing.

Sissy...I don't know how they treat those lesions but I hope and pray it goes well for you! Do you know when your biopsy will be?

I don't know if any of you remember but I wrote around ten days ago about the daughter of one of my friends who is 15 years old and was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. It turns out that it's even worse...it's primary peritoneal cancer which is a rare cancer of the lining of the abdomen. Our Children's hospital here has never seen a case; it usually happens in older women. It has spread to her ovary and her liver so she is stage 4. Her prognosis is poor; only 27% of patients make it to 5 years. Median time of survival is 12 to 18 months. We are all just sick about it and my friend and her husband are devastated. We all keep praying for a miracle....

Loveschristmas - How awful! I will be praying for a miracle for your friends daughter. 15 is way too young to have to go thru that crap.

Lisamarie - I will be there for you on the 24th. I remember the anxiety prior to surgery but honestly it was not nearly as big a deal as I had made it out to be ....

That said, my PS insisted that my drains be less than 20 ccs for at least 3 days before pulling them. I had one of those stupid drains for 4 weeks....

Home from second Taxol treatment, feeling good but tired. Was really warm when I first got home but that is gone now. HUGS to all of you who still have your drainage bags, to those that are suffering with SE's,and those who are a bit apprehensive about upcoming surgeries and diagnosis. I am in your pocket and praying for all of you. Have a blessed and peaceful night.

Sherry I lived in my recliner for months.  It has my cheeks implanted in them, lol.  I know that after the TE came out and the foobies healed up I was able to go back to regular sleeping.

    Rest up nfranklin.

Sherry- sorry you had a bad night and are back in the recliner. I am waiting for 8 am to measure the fluid and do the math for the 24 hour period. If no higher than 34-35 doc said the tubes can come out today. The tissue expanders are a lot harder than I thought they would be. They feel like rocks. It will be nice when we get our real girls. I am looking forward to going back to the LE therapist for the stretches she does with me. I had just gotten full range of my arm after the lx and now I have to start over. I can't imagine doing the mapping for radiation until my arms don't hurt. I hope you are feeling better.

Dianarose: Here is hoping that your fluid measurements are under 35 so you can get the drainage tubes out, you will so much better. Have a good day,and you feel better.

You girls certainly keep busy here......

Jo - will be in your pocket on Wed. I will have some rockin tunes on the i-pod as well as some easy listening songs so we don't disturb you too much.

Dianarose - what a great relief that your insurance is to cover you 100%!! And that you will be getting your drains out - glad that everything is going well for you.

nfranklin - I hope all continues to go well for you.

sissyvon - sorry to hear about the lesions on the liver. My lesions were not removed due to extent of involvement, but they are definitely getting the s#at kicked out of them with tamox. I know that some lesions can be removed though. Here's hoping that yours can be blasted out either way.

Loveschristmas - I am so sorry to hear about your friend. It is so sad and so unfair for someone so young to have to endure such a terrible dx. She has been in my prayers and will continue to be in my thoughts also.
