    Hi Nancy!

Lauren - not ridiculous, anxiety is normal when returning to work under these circumstances.  I am sure they won't care what you have on - they will just be happy to see you! During the 7 months I had a flat side and an expander side I wore a lot of scarves and ruffles. We are in your pocket!

    I'm in your pocket!

Who's in my pocket? I get to talk to the team of doctors tomorrow and see what the plan is. I want to verbally bring them down a few notches. The dr that didn't feel the lumps and the other who told me that the pain was common. Can I trust them again????? UGH!!!

Veggy with you babe. Say what you need to, you need to get it out b/c it will burn your insides. talk about the trust issues. Talk to your insurance company and look for another cancer center. It may make you more confident by getting a second opinion , or changing groups. Follow your instincts. Pocket Love Sheila

In your pocket Veggy, and everyone else with stuff going on this week. Let them know you mean business! If it means going elsewhere, then maybe that is the right thing to do.

My Internet has been up and down all day - ugh. Obviously in an "up" moment!

Hope you don't mind if I take a few phone calls while in the pockets. It's my turn to listen to the voice mail for the animal shelter tomorrow. I won't do it while you're talking to your docs.

Lauren, Sure you're anxious. But you know these people and they are wishing the best for you. You may hear some of the stuff on the thread: The Dumbest Things People Have Said to Me, but SAS is right. Just blow it off.

I'm also taking my purse incase you need to take a call. You can zip yourself in one of the pockets to talk. I have my list of questions and concerns. Who wants to be in charge of the list? Don't get it lost.

Vegie I'll be with you too.  We'll all be doing a bit of time traveling tomorrow in order to make all the pockets in "time".  But we'll do it.

I know I've missed telling some of you with appointments that I'll be there, but I will.  Prayers for all.

SHEILA, loved the parachute pocket bus.  LAUREN, bless your heart, put on a lovely scarf with a sparkling pin on it, that's all they'll see, that and your smile.  You getting ready was kinda how I was when I went to see brother the other day and was so nervous, and yet my lovely father said I look better each time he sees me.  And yes, they all know I'm a wreck.  CINDY, I honestly could not go thru another operation or anything else, you've been thru enuff as it is!  I still remember back in chemo days when you wound up in the hospital, I was so shocked, and so glad I didn't have that happen to me.  VEGGY, and you, dearest darling girl, you are tooo sweet to have to go thru this whole entire routine all over again.  Whatssup with that!  I loved your animation, hiding under the covers.  And you tell 'em, girl, you tell them it's bad enough they didn't fix you the first go-aroud, but that they almost missed the second go-around, too!  I think you should cry, and then FUZZY will drive that parachute pocket bus right thru the walls of the place and we'll all tell them, too.  WREN, do you work at an animal shelter or is something amiss?  You said you had to listen for the calls from them.  Husband said it's the wren (or the sparrow?) that makes this huge warbling sound out of such a little frame.

I'm listening to some easy-listening tunes, makes me feel so emotional about all the women here, we've all got this history, this anger, this sadness together, holding each other up as time goes by and won't let us alone.  John Mayer just told me we all "Got dreams, dreams to remember," we gotta make those dreams.  And while I whine about getting my shit together to leave safe land and go visit family, I now have that nice memory of them all, my family, who for years have been so helpful, kind, and understanding to me.  And my nephew, got to see him, he's a grown man now, and ALL of us remember when he was only 17 years old and diagnosed with bone cancer, has a titanium femur, went thru a year of chemo, half-dozen surgeries, very scary.  And him and me had good jokes together about our tore-up bodies, we showed each other our port scars, and then he showed his chest scar, where they opened him up to work on his lungs, but I could not show mine, and soon we were laughing.

For some reason, the posts from yesterday had me laughing, too, everything struck me so funny, it's the irony of disease, I suppose.  Kind of like a Woody Allen comedy movie where he gets in an impossible situation and just runs with it, making jokes all the way thru it.  Love that slapstick.  And all of you are endowed with such poweful senses of humor, just blows away all the terror.  Like SASSY'S term, "Blow it off!"  Love always, GG

Happy Monday and hope everyone is off to a good start this week. Hopping in pockets and using my official Hermione Time Turner to make sure I'm in the right place at the right time for everyone. Hmmm - I haven't even checked to see what time zones people are in.

May need a couple of volunteers for a pocket party for me tomorrow. I have a 4-month Onc followup. Had labs last week and dr visit tomorrow. My thought was a breeze in-breeze out visit - more annoying and time-consuming than anything else. Just hit me that the labs may tell a different story.  Didn't need my mind to go there, but it did. Crud.

Lauren - I bet you look stunning! Kiss

We'll all be with you both in the pocket bus and with you tomorrow madpeacock

I'm getting ready for the appointment. My nerves are high too. I found my list of questions. I have less than 2 hours before I leave. Mother-in-law called already to find out what the doctors said. I haven't even gotten to the appointment yet and she called. I have to remember to breathe, just breathe.

Dogeyed, I volunteer for the city animal shelter. Listen to voicemail one day, give meds another day, and foster from time to time.

How about we all go for a nice walk after our day in pockets? I think it's going to be crowded.

Enjoy the rest of the day. I'm off to get a fill...

I met with the surgeon and chemo doctor. I have to have a MX next month. I'm hoping for reconstruction at the same time. Then I will have 8 chemo treatments or 4 month of chemo. I cried, I asked why and I demanded things my way. The cancer that I have now is a different triple negative cancer and not a recurrence from the last one. I have to do genetic testing too. I'm scared.

Crog--no it's creative. No one else is close. I' m generally curious about names. I looked around the room and uncreatively became me and my dog, in a moment of desparation when I found out we were visible to the world. I had used my real name.
