Holistic and Reiki healing with modern medicine
Hi, I am Jennifer snd believe that with modern medicine and reiki healing, my side effects have been minimal. I use crystal healing as well.
This forum is for the ones who believe in a supreme being and that holistic nursing works. I receive reiki before every treatment. I love it, the meditation is soothing. My Chakras remain open and inviting to bright white energy. My spirit guides, my reiki guides, my archangek guides, and my guardian angel guides watch over me.

Has anyone used any crystals for healing? Rose quartz or amethyst? Even smokey or clear quartz can work?
It has helped decrease my side effects of chemotherapy.
Jenn -
Yes jbagley. I have used and use crystals .. I give crystals to my kids and family to wear or hold for the day depending on the occasion ... I like clear quartz with point.
-
Angelice, have you checked out healingcrystals.com? They are wonderful, great array of crystals. I swear by them.

Has anyone read "The Healing Codes" by Dr. Alex Lloyd. It describes 4 energy healing points with truth statements. I am reading it now. Amazon.com has the book and you can read the reviews and some testimonials from the authors.

I will take a look at the book review. Jenn

Hi Jennifer, I've never had Reikki done on me but love the whole concept of it and music. I find it very soothing to listen to. I had been planning on going for my training as a Reikki practitioner and had hoped to go on to the 3rd level of training and combine it with my esthtetics practice. Then came BC. So looking to ways of healing the new me.

I have had the second attunement and looking at becoming a master next summer when I am "cancer free" I have 2awful more tx then surgery and 33 radiation tx coming in dec.
Reiki has really helped me with the s/e of chemo!

Reiki has been very helpful for me. During a Reiki session, I can stay fully in the moment and just "be". It is the best way to get relief from the stress and constant awareness of cancer that hangs in the back of my mind. It is when my body feels most competent and when I feel most normal. Though I was a bit skeptical of Reiki, I received a clear message from my dad -I was his primary caretaker during his illness and death from cancer - during my 1st session. It was a great gift.

There is some really nice music for reiki too. Does your practitioner use stones? Or gems?
I do reiki on myself, if you get attunement 1 you can do it to yourself.
It is quite relaxing.
Where are you in treatment? I can send you distant reiki if you would like.

I had reiki all the way through radiation. The oncologist was shocked that I had no skin effects at all. I think there is great healing available if you combine both physical and emotional healthing.

Can somebody explain a little bit about Reiki? Not sure I know what it is but it sounds like something I might want to try.
-
Mallory- Reiki is sort of like acupuncture but without the needles. It clears energy blockages in the body, allowing it to heal and function better. My mom's a Reiki master (we always tease her that it sounds like she's a samurai or something... heehee!) and an RN... it's wonderful- give it a go! If nothing else, it gives you a chance to relax and clear your mind a bit, which I personally find to be priceless! ;D

Does anyone know if this would help with the TE fills pain? I got a bmx with TE for IDC on one side but neither side turned out numb. thats great for down the road and living life to the fullest and future sexual self and activities with the fiance but my PS doesnt seem to believe me! I told her the needles and fills are stinging and feel like I feel chest first into an ant bed. Then, afterwards I can barely move and the fill was at lunchtime. I have taken 2 TyCodeine #3 4 hrs apart and used Voltaren gel on myself but I cant even go to the ATM to get the cash to have a pizza delivered and cant load the dishwasher. I am really in pain still! Any ideas? Anyone have TE and fills to contend with for future implants?

I always wear a clear quartz pendant and I wear a ring with all the chakra stones. I haven't received my dx yet, but I do believe in holistic and modern methods. Please share anything you think might help if I have the C word....thank you and sending miles of smiles.

Layla2525- It's certainly possible it could help you, my mom has been able to rid me of pain at times when nothing else seemed to work (but there are also times when it didn't seem to do anything, so I can't guarentee anything). And yup, I'm right there with you on the TEs and fills. I'm still pretty numb though, so I'm not experiencing the pain you describe. I'd suggest asking your PS to put less in next time though, and I've heard of women asking to have some taken out if the pain continues to persist. Best of luck to you!!

Crystals are wonderful! I didn't benefit from the Reiki but QiGong is GREAT! EFT and Keniology along with accupuncture and accupressue are a part of my alternatives to compliment my traditional treatment plan. I give everything a look see and a try and this seems to be the best things for me.

I want crystals for my bra, stones really, just not certain which ones yet. I will fluff them in w the cotton balls. I use kinesiology too, and now acupuncture. And Bowen soon after the first weeks of acup are up, Hubby does it for me, more affordable than going to the acupst or a therapist.
Jennifer who started this thread made a note in another thread that she was having second mx on March 23, 2012, that being after her chemo and rads. She has not been back since February.
thinking of you Jennifer!

I was diagnosed in January and am scheduled to undergo a mastectomy on the 25th with TE. So what have I been doing all these months (besides switching doctors and some occasinal testing)? I've been practicing Reiki every night (I did level I training through a wonderful organization in NYC that also provides reflexology, acupuncture, massage, aromatherapy and nutritional counseling), medical qi gong (specifically for people with cancer and other illnesses) and consulted with a naturopath who not only gave an herbal script to bolster my lymphatics (I had a biopsy on a node that was clear and I wanted to keep them all that way) but also two stones that she instructs me to place directly on the tumor - phrenite and chrysocolla.
I feel that all these modalities are helping me emotionally and physically as well as spiritually. When I go to the doctor, everyone is astounded at my perfect blood pressure. Now I'm sure that they are used to seeing folks who are not only ill but stressed over their illnesses, but I also think that this consistent self-care regimen is healing me at all levels, strengthening my immune system and otherwise using my mind and spirit to make my body an environment unhospitable to rogue cancer cells.
With my mastecomy coming up in a little over a week and chemo to follow, I've stocked up on cancer-specific meditations, too. I truly do believe that a big part of how effective and traumatic conventional medicine is depends on your attitude toward it so I'm in serious spiritual and emotional training with all these approaches.
Why not use everything at your disposal especially when so much of the Western approach to cancer is so counterintuitive and leaves a lot to be desired?

I love the idea of adding crystals to your bra... maybe because I aspire to dance burlesque.
