(you are right)(we are the only ones playing - wish there were more hopping on but we are too good for them)

The Mothman Prophecies (this was a great movie and based on a true story - how creepy is that)(I once was called for jury duty and Richard Gere was there too - of course he did not get picked but neither did I)

"Anointest my head with conductant.  Do I get a crown of thorns?"

Wow, how cool would it have been to be on jury duty with Richard Gere?

An oldie but a goodie.....One flew over the Cuckoo's Nest

"If I risk my neck for you, will I get a chance to kill Englishmen?"

I wish the thread would be more popular too, but hey, you got "Shotgun Stories"....I think you, me and ten other people saw that movie.

    this is an easy one

    Bravehart

Mel Gibson was born in Peekskill, NY but grew up in Australia.  Same hospital me and my siblings were born in but a few years apart.  PeeWee Herman (born Paul Rubenfeld) was also born in Peekskill.  His parents owned a textile store, sold sewing materials/fabrics.  I used to go with my mother to their store many times.  Not sure if I ever saw Paul there, he is 8 years older than me.  Small world.

Famous little home town you've got there kingjr. I had a feeling you'd guess that one in a heartbeat.

Ghostbusters I or II, can't remember which.

Here's another one of my favs.

"We have met before but I was different then. I used to have this birthmark right across the side of my face".

I must say this is a tuff one.  I had to get some help but still not sure.  I want to guess Cinderfella?  If not, how about a hint?

I want to jump in on this game but (1) you two are really fast and (2) I don't want to cheat with IMDB and I just don't know any of these!  I tend to watch really quirky movies so my favorite lines aren't often known.  But I keep checking back in the hopes that I can jump in soon!!

Nancy, if you like quirky, this one might just be your cup of tea.  Here's a couple of hints.

    Quirky, British, Horror.

A shy young man with a very large birthmark down the side of his face, is seeing demons in the streets of London. He meets a "man" who will give him a normal face if he does something in exchange. He takes him up on his offer. Molotov cocktails feature regularly in the film. His mother is killed by one.

The quote comes from Jim Sturgess (playing Jamie). He says it to a young lady he has feelings for.

Okay, gracie - I admit I had to look that one up.  Then realized I had seen it in passing with one of my kids at home.

    Heartless

So, let's see if anyone knows this one:

"One scoop of creamed potatoes. A slice of butter. Four peas. And as much ice cream as you'd like to eat."

I actually like this movie, The Secretary but I think James Spader is a creep.  Just watch all his movies, he's always the bad guy or so glum and unhappy

That was a hard one Nancy. I really should stop putting those obscure movie quotes out there. For some reason those are the movies I gravitate to and the only movies I really remember. It's so great to have another player. Stick around, please?

    The Mummy.

"If you can dodge traffic, you can dodge a ball".

Which reminds me, did either of you see "Bad Influence" with James Spader? That was a creepy movie.

Yeah with Rob Lowe - will watch it every now and then when I see it somewhere on cable.

    Dodge Ball

If it's what I'm thinking, it's Seven?  (Or Se7en?)  One of the best scenes I never/always saw coming...

I did see Bad Influence.  James Spader is truly creepy - but a genius on film.  I wondered, after seeing Secretary, if he could be like that in real life.  Then I wanted to meet him, then I changed my mind.  :-)

"How could I forget about you? You're the only person I know."

    Se7en

When I read the quote I knew the last line "what's in the box" and Brad Pitt keeps saying it over and over but with some other choice word(s)

"I'm every nightmare your had. I'm your worst dream come true. I'm everthing you ever were afraid of."

The Blues Brothers  (didn`t have to cheat on that one...hilarious!!)

``My father was shot by a business partner who then hanged himself in my father's closet. They had argued over money. I am a professor. I teach American History at the University of Pennsylvania. I have an idea that I would like to talk to you about``.

Don`t know what happened to my keyboad but the quotes look wonky. I bet I changed it to some foreign language or something.

it's from a remake of a succesful sci-fi/horror movie from 1956 and re-made in 1978.  This one from 1993.  It involves aliens and taking over a military base, unlike the 1st 2 movies which was aliens vs the world population.
