Bone Scan Tomorrow

Options

I'm not sure it this is the appropriate place to post this...not REALLY concerned but I finished my chlodrinate clinical trial this month and I'm going for a bone scan tomorrow.  Results on Monday.  Bringing back all kinds of fresh memories from my first round of scans.  I haven't had any pain and no real reason to believe that they will find anything.  Still, it's scary and I'm having a hard time focusing on anything else this week.

I guess I'm just asking you all to wish me luck!!

Sending white light, Diane. On Thursday, I also am having my bone scan for the end of the Ibandronate trial. It is scary. I hope they told you that a lot of things other than mets can create hot spots, including previous fractures and arthritis. I believe this is probably the hardest part of the trial for the trial nurses. I was repeatedly told not to worry about the scan. Easier said than done. Please keep us up on your results. I am thinking about you. Tammy

I'm having my first bone scan this week.  I've been fine since chemo/rad finished in Sept 2010, but recently got some new pains that I'd never had before. Hip pain is worse at night but getting kind of bad during the day too, especially when I first stand or walk. One spot on the hip bone is sore to the touch. Also some pain in the back of one heel and around the other knee. Guess it could be Femara or arthritis.
