    Thanks for posting this. I wondered if there might be a connection. It might be spurious in my case. The bone scan shows arthritis in feet and left knee, I have no arthritis type symptoms. Is the activity actually cancer that is just starting or is it really arthritis? I guess time will tell.

    This is interesting.  I am also confused because I get the inflammation theory, but now the mast cell theory is confusing me.  Earlier, studies showed people with allergies and things like eczema, had lower risks of cancer because the immune system is hypervigilant.  So does it matter how the mast cell is produced?  If it is autoimmune, it is bad but if it is IgE related (allergies), the mast cell somehow knows this?  This would mean people with allergies produce more mast cells and should have more cancers....someone with brains (since mine are clearly useless)...HELP!
