Prayers for Angie and family
I went to the PS today and got one of my two drains out, yipeeeeeeeeeeeee. Hopefully I'll get the other one out later this week. The one I got out was the one that was bothering me so bad. Nurse said to take it easy today and then start using that arm more as I have been giving in to it.
-
Sherry: That's great! Glad you're doing better. Soon it will all be behind you!
-
YEAH Sherry....those drains were the worst part of the whole thing for me- I hated the little buggers and it took weeks to get them out. Good news is I can barely see the little holes where they were. So glad you are healing good:)
-
Praying for Angie & her family.
Sherry - Congrats on getting rid of the drains. One down, one to go. Agree totally with Annette that those were the worst part...Had one of mine 4 weeks after and was never so happy as to see it go... Happy continued healing hon.
-
Yeah Sherry so happy you got one of your drains out! Keep up the great/fast healing and you'll be over this and done before you know it.
-
Good deal, Sherry! So glad you are on the road to recovery!
-
Thanks to all for thinking of Angie. I hope to get an update soon.
Sherryc - awesome to get a drain out!!! I am sending healing thoughts and prayers your way.
I hope everyone is enjoying some beautiful days as we are having in the NE. Perfect for getting out and walking.
My little grandaughter (6) has been tormenting her mom today because she has decided that she needs a lavender ruffled ball-gown type dress for Easter. We were on the phone and I checked on line and found a site - and of course she picked the most hideous dress....can't wait to see what happens when we visit Sunday.
They make me smile.
Hugs to all,
Joan
PS - Special thoughts and prayers for anyone who has been affected by the awful tornadoes today and in the past weeks.
-
Joan811 - Post a picture!!!
Sherryc - sending healing thoughts and prayers!
We have a few from Texas here - prayers to you all.
-
So, Joan, did grandma purchase the dress for her???
-
Joan: Some of those dresses are over the top aren't they! I always buy my DGD's their holiday dresses. Right now the little ones aren't old enough to decide, but my older DGD's had very strong opinions...at one time they wouldn't wear a dress no matter what, so I stopped buying them:( I'm going to enjoy it now while I can!
-
Not sure where to post this.... Has anyone gone to the Cancer Treatment Centers of America? Positive or negative feedback?
-
Sorry bja_homer I live in Alabama and we don't have a Cancer Treatment Center of America here and I did not go out of state for my treatment. I'm sure there is someone that may be able to help you.
-
We missed the tornadoes here but had a wonderful rain storm last night. My garden is loving it. But feel so bad for those in the Dallas area that were hit with tornadoes.
-
Texans, after watching the news videos, it is a miracle that no one was lost in the storms yesterday.
Heather -- About the dress....am still waiting to see what they chose...but I can post the candidate...and sorry if it is the dress somebody just chose for your favorite kid. If I were 6 like my GD, I would love it.couldn't paste the thumbnail so if you really want to see sparkling purple fluff...

Kaara, you are right about the strong opinions!!! I don't remember my 3 daughters being so hard to please - but then maybe I just don't want to remember
-
bja_homer,
Sorry, I have not met anyone who has used CTCA. There should be plenty of reviews online if you search. I wonder if they vary from state to state (like any other hospitals).
Sorry you have to go through this, but you will find a lot of support here.
Sending positive thoughts your way.

Joan: Nice site for kids clothes and such. I got lucky this year and Macy's had a 65% off sale on Easter dresses:) I hope they will wear them when they come over on Sunday so I can get photos.
-
Kaara, I hope you get photos too....it seems the older they get, the fewer pix they will sit for. I hope they wear your dresses!
-
Joan the dress is really nice but it looks a little pageanty for Easter but then that is just my opinion and I am not 6 yrs old. As for being opinionated and knowing what they want to wear I already have to ask my 3 yr old granddaughter if she will wear certain things and so does her mommy. Her mommy was going to buy her a dress from where she works and she sent me 3 pictures on my phone, I showed them to Straitlyn and she very opinionatedly stated that she wanted the one with the monkey on it! LOL I couldn't even tell it had a monkey on it. haha!!! That is the one she got too by the way
she also likes to pick out her own shoes when we go shopping and within the price range and color scheme she gets to... her fav color is purple
