I have copied and pasted this post from reocurr and mets about Kaygirl, and thought she needs all of us now.
Thank you
Ter
Hi everyone,
I am Kaygirl's best friend, and she asked me to post for her since she's in the hospital right now and not able to get to the computer to update you herself. Last weekend she had some surgery to remove part of a tumor on her lumbar spine. It was a relatively minor surgery, compared to what she has gone through before. The good news is that the surgery went well; the bad news is that it looks like the hormone treatments she's been on have stopped working, so she'll be starting on chemo (Xiloda) in about a week. She is also going to be doing the "cyberknife" radiation. Kaygirl wanted me to let everyone know that she is happy that she had such a good run on the hormone therapy (as am I--we have really had some good times recently since she was feeling better due to this treatment!). She also would like to ask you to pray for her--she really appreciates feeling that support, and is keeping you all in her prayers as well. Like I said at the beginning of this post, she can't get on the computer as much as she would like right now, but she will be checking periodically--I know that the support here means a lot to her. My prayers and best thoughts and energy goes out to each and every one of you that is going through this crazy experience.
