Onc checking for bone mets-getting PET/CT next Friday (m)....

Options

I posted earlier this week about the ongoing pain throughout my entire spine I've been having and the story behind it.  Anyway, I went to see Dr. today and agrees we need to see if something more is going on.  Scheduled a PET/CT for next Friday.  Bloodwork is all good today so that is good news to start with and I hope it stays good news. As for my stomach issues, nausea and feeling full they think may be gallbladder, so want me to follow up with my regular primary care Doc.

Is it possible to have bone mets and have normal bloodwork?  I hope not.  Thanks.

I can't answer your question, Greenacres, but just wanted to wish you all the very best for normal scan results to match your normal bloods. Fingers and everything else crossed for you. Sending gentle hugs, Angelfalls xx

My blood work is normal and I have a single bone met. I hope that you don"t have any!

Hi there...I am "new to the ballgame" so I don't have any advice but I just wanted to let you know that there is another person thinking of you and I hope your scan turns out well. :)

Yes, it is possible  to have mets, even liver or lung mets, and still have normal bloodwork.

Hope your scans turn out to be nothing.

Well ladies, my results are NEGATIVE for metastatic disease of the bones YAY!  What I do have however is a kidney stone, a diffused infiltration of fatty liver (yuk - what can I do about that?), and my gallbladder may be on the fritz LOL - Nice huh?  I'd take those over Mets any day.  Thank you all so much for your support and I'm going to KEEP ON LIVIN'!
