Are There Any Other Hospice Patients Out There?

Hi, everyone.  I posted my introduction about two weeks ago and check back to this site every day or two.  I thought with as many members as this site has there would be others who, like me, have stopped pursuing curative treatment, and are working on quality of life issues.  However, there is very little activity in this forum.  So, just thought I'd ask if there are others like me lurking out there.  It would be nice to have someone to share experiences, thoughts, fears, feelings with.

Thanks,

Martha

Martha. Hi. I have noticed that too. I am not on Hospice yet, but I do put Palliative care FIRST. I am stage IV lung/liver/bones mult sites etc. I will join you one of these days not too long from now.

Tell me, what are you feeling like? What meds are working? Have you got your pain manged? How do you deal the day to day stuff like cooking, errands. stuff.

My memory is poor and I have less energy all the time. I am on hormonals for now and moving onto some bone rads for pain.

Anyway, let me know if you'd like to stay in touch. I love a pen pal. You can PM me anytime.

    Hi Martha

I am not on Pallative Therapy/Hospice Care but  I wanted to encourage you to introduce yourself (if you haven't) to the Stage IV board.  I think you will find some kindred spirits there (and probably more discussion). Take care

Hi,   My sister is on Hospice.   So I would be glad to share her experiences and my with you.  She can't get on the computer much.   We would love to share with you and to hear about your life and how it is going for you.   I try to check the computer every day but sometimes only when I can.    So be patience with me in getting back to you.   But I will.   Having a very hot and raining day today.   The flowers will love this rain.   talk to you later and everyone here is very uplifting and always sending hugs.....   Paula
